G Spot Hair Design in Des Moines, IA

They are awesome!  They touched up my dye for free, did an awesome job on my hair and gave me product samples to take home.  I heard them offer a discount to a mom who was having financial issues as well.  I had a lot of fun and will be com back.  I am not saying they always give away things, just showing that they're good people.

This was such an affirming hair experience  I called to make sure they were open and made an appointment. I talked about what I wanted and what I wanted to feel like (short hair that makes me look gay). The stylist made sure I knew what was happening. After washing my hair, we got started and chatted the whole time. I got a heart on the side of my head and went more adventurous than I had before. I loved it!

Do not recommend going here for getting your hair done, at all. 4 things went wrong on such a simple appt that it got to a point where we just gave up from the get go. save your time, and money and go elsewhere. 0/10 stars.

My appt was at 5:30, I didn't get into the salon chair until 8PM. Waited two and a half hours bc only one the the employees could braid my best friend and i's hair. Mind you, we were the only two in the hair salon. We didn't have to wait for others customers  to get done with their appts. We waited bc they were unprepared and fucked up. Results were completely different than what we had agreed upon. Was given different colored hair extensions, and different style hair extensions than what agreed upon when booking the appt way back in February. The two employees had plenty of time to order the correct hair extensions. We came to get our braids done, left with dreads.. They took smoke breaks while we were waiting to sit in the salon chair. Completely unprofessional.

Just don't go there. We're both supposed to be hitting the road for a vacation in a couple hours but what are we doing instead? Fixing the god damn mess on our heads.

Again, f*ck this place.

Worst salon in the Des Moines area!! Please think twice before going here if you have nice hair because they will ruin it! I saw they had some 5 star reviews from years back but I'm pretty sure it was under different ownership back then. When I went the ladies were unprofessional, one of them was highly inappropriate. They took several smoke breaks doing my hair and my friend's hair. It took forever and there was so much hair spray in my hair it took me a week to untangle and I lost allot :( I have also heard they take breaks to go to the bar next door for a quick drink before continuing with their services. Very scary!!

Just love the service and my hair has never looked better or was in better shape. Manny is amazing! Can't say enough good things!
