FS Express Cuts in Louisville, KY

I let my hair grow out for an entire year. Yes, a year! After a lot of color abuse I decided I had to just give it a rest and let my hair be for a little while. Today I decided to get a trim since my birthday and the holidays are coming up soon. I've been looking for a new salon but I'm not too sure what I want to really do with my hair so I figured I'd just get a cut and blowout until I make up my mind.
I was very pleased with my cut and blowout today. I have a job interview tomorrow and I feel pretty confident with this cut in that I can style it myself in the morning. Honestly it's one of the few times I've felt that way and left the salon feeling like I don't need to wait for it to grow out a bit until I'll like it. Not bad for $30. I'm really happy!

I had scheduled an appointment at my regular salon and my hairdresser unfortunately had to reschedule, which I understand happens. So I took to google and looked for a hair salon with a good rating and this Fantastic Sams had the ratings I was looking for. My hairdresser was very polite but you could tell she didn't really like her job and was more interested in talking with her coworkers rather than clients but almost every hairdresser there were talking to each other and not their clients. It wasn't a very welcoming environment to be honest.

The whole reason for getting my hair colored this specific day was my maternity shoot the next day. After getting home I realized the woman who colored my hair completely missed a chunk of blonde hair. I was getting my brown hair  with highlights colored to be a dark chocolate brown so now I've got to be very conscious of how I even style my hair because of her mistake. Also 4 days later I've noticed that my hair is COMPLETELY cut uneven and parts of my hair are the original length and have not even be touched.

After this experience, I'm not sure I trust anyone and I will probably just dye my hair at home. I'm scared to even get it fixed because I don't want my hair to be even shorter. This experience was completely traumatizing.

I came in here one day to get my dead-ends trimmed. The woman my mom and aunt wanted because I had put it off for over a year. I don't remember the woman's name who did my hair, but the whole thing was a little awkward.

She listened to what I wanted, and the result was what I wanted. She even touched up my bangs to "soften" my face, whatever the heck that means. But she was talking to other people the whole time. Not that I want to give my hairstylist my life story or anything, but at least pay attention to my precious locks. At any wrong moment, someone could have made her laugh and my hair would have been ruined.

I feel like it could have been done a lot faster if she had given me her full attention. The place seems to be more for older people who know each other, in my opinion. It wasn't busy that day, and I only had like an inch cut off, so I should have been in and out quicker than I was.

I'm not complaining about any of it because, like I said, I did like the result, but I'll probably start looking for a "young and hip" place to get my hair cut.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. My FIRST experience should've been my last. A lady named Mary, short hair, heavy set, glasses, on left side when walking in, wnd or 3rd chair. Consult and cut my friends hair. She not only talked her down from the original desired cut but then proceeded cutting her hair...LIKE HER HAIR CUT, it was not becoming for my friend, as my friend asked her repeatedly to fix particular areas she would say things like you will need to flat iron your hair to get that look sp you NEED a cut
that doesnt require that...WHO TELLS TJE CUSTOMER WHAT THEY ARE GETTING INSTEAD OF LISTENING. THEN today i went in knowing what i did, i requested another girl..for a perm. My hair is naturally curly so the  cuticle is naturally rough on top highlights. So my hair was flat ironed upon going in the girl inspecting my hair and said it was good to go I take especially good care of my hair. She wets my hair begins playing in it Mary comes over and tells her what a mess it is and I'm going to be fried and so on what I'm doing for it right now ain't working extremely unprofessional and extremely rude. mary was hanging over another client giving her 2 cents after my girl had already said we were good to go....now i have sopping wet hair, no flat ironed hair and i left. People who do not know enough about curly hair texture have ZERO business dealing with it. This mary lady is a nighrmare. Every single person I see go in there comes out with her very hairstyle it is simply short hair with ears cut out it's not only tragic but extremely mousy. I'll never take another client and or myself there again. Save yourself time energy and frustration and go somewhere else because this place is strictly for those who do not know any better and for those who desire the cookie cutter haircut you are looking at on the hair stylist..MARY.
