I don't get my nails done very often, but when I want a great pedicure, I come to Chi at For My Nails. I have pretty knarly feet, but when i walk back out the door from a pedicure they always look and feel great! They were able to get my son and I both in on short notice. They have 10 pedi stations plus two for kids, and 8 manicure stations. They had a really relaxing video loop on the TV as well, which was a nice touch.
Found a gift certificate my husband gave me for Christmas. It had expired two years ago. I went in and asked if they would honor it. It was for $50, they first said it was not worth anything, so I started to leave. Then they said they would honor it for $30. I got my final pedicure there. They saved $20, which was their right, but it cost them my business. I will not go back.
If you want a good experience, don't go here. I saw lots of great reviews so I was hopeful. I've been getting my nails done for 7 years and I've never walked out with my cuticles in so much pain or with literally the exact same thing as I walked in with. I asked for a super simple design and they couldn't do it so I said plain all over black (which I had on my nails already) because simple enough right? No. Couldn't even fill it in all over the nail. I had to ask to redo the paint to get the whole nail. And before that, the girl who spent about an hour filing my nails had probably never touched a file before because my skin is so raw around every single nail. When she sprayed my nails with alcohol it was stinging so bad. That has never happened. I also asked for a sharper shape and she couldn't do that. Don't waste your time or money. Go elsewhere. I had to wait 20 minutes to sit down even though there were 3 customers and 5 techs and once all the other customers left they kept me with the same tech who filed me raw. My nails are so thin I'll be surprised if they last me a week.
***Update: after the review below, the manager reached out and offered to redo my nails for free, which i took her up on and they looked great. By the time i went to my appt appx 2 weeks after my original manicure, my shellac had completely peeled off. I would definitely recommend Amy to do my nails in the future, but be forewarned that you won't get the same quality of service from everyone there, unfortunately
So surprised the reviews are so great. Unfortunately, i didn't have the greatest experience. They were able to get me in quickly, which was great and could do my pedicure and manicure simultaneously which is awesome for a busy mom that has a hard time getting away. My toes turned out near perfect and were done by a cheery fella that i enjoyed chatting with. My fingernails were done by another perfectly nice gentleman that didn't speak to me much but spoke to the other gentleman in their native language. No big deal. After the first coat of color went on, I was surprised at how poorly they looked. However, it seems like first coat never look that great. It's the second coat that smoothes everything out and makes it look perfect. After the second coat, they looked better but not perfection that I was used to with shellac. I assumed that things would get cleaned up at some point. Also want to mention, I paid extra for the "manicure" not just shellac polish. The manicure cost $13 extra and consisted of filing my nails, which I had already done, but probably not to perfection, quickly smoothing out the tops of my nails, letting them soak in some cool water, and then massaging my right arm and hand with a lot of lotion, and my left arm and hand with a little leftover lotion. When the gentleman was done and i had a chance to inspect them closely, i thought they looked terrible. The areas near my cuticle were not clean or consistent, there was polish on my fingers, that i was trying to pick off. When I went to pay, I told him I thought that was a high price for the manicure and that they didn't look so great. The guy that was ringing me up, looked at them and actually gasped. He said it could be fixed and I asked if they would have to remove the polish in order to do that and he said yes and I obliged. Then the gentleman came out that originally did my nails and said he would fix it. The result was him filing my nails on the sides so much to get the extra polish off, that my nails were actually throbbing when I left. They do look better, but still not perfect. It would have been nice to get a discount for the poor quality service, but i paid what they charged and knocked down the tip. For $60 and subpar results, i really doubt I'll be back. There are so many other salons around here that do a better job for that kind of price.
For My Nails was amazing! I called in a walk-in appointment for 8 pedicures and they said yes! When we got there everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Aimee came in on her day off to help and she was superb!! I recommend this salon and will return regularly!
