I've lived in KC for 2 years and have never gotten my hair cut. I went to Molly and she was amazing! Cut about 6 inches off my hair and looks great!
Had an appointment with Jolynn. One of the worst haircut I've ever gotten in my life. It is uneven everywhere, she cut one half of the back and didn't cut the other half. She was a pleasant girl but she does not know how to cut hair. Will never go back there again and I do not recommend anyone go.
Disappointed. Overpriced for quality of service. Website lists $18 for haircuts, was told $30 over the phone, and then charged $32 by stylist. Stylist used waaay too much product on my hair and left it sticky and frizzy. She was rushing and did not completely dry my hair (not at all in back) -- looks better when I do it myself. Cut was uneven (one side longer than other) and not what I asked for at all. Everyone was pleasant and courteous, but would not recommend.
To preface my review,... I'm not a girly girl. I don't get my hair done every 6 weeks as recommended. I'm not drawn in by spa-like amenities or anything like that. I am usually comfortable with any haircut I get and live with it.
However... I did not have a great experience here.
The location is behind a strip mall that faces a major road; you have to seek it out. The atmosphere is not bad. Plenty of people, friendly, clean. The girl at the front desk has a gorgeous cut, so I was excited
I thought I was fortunate to be able to get a walk in appointment with one of the owners. Said she had been doing hair for quite some time. I should have backed out when she almost startied cutting my hair without asking what I wanted to have done. I explained to her my hair type, how much I wanted trimmed, the fact that I wanted more layers and to trim up my sweeping bangs. What I got was a blunt cut, bangs that I had to recut myself when I got home (you can't bluntly cut side sweeping bangs!!), and a horribly uneven cut. One side of my hair was a full 1/2 inch longer than the other. She actually noticed that last aspect at the salon AFTER she took my cape off and proceded to cut my wet hair directly onto my clothes.
I'm all for conversations between coworkers, but I felt like she ignored what she was doing to my head. Thus, I ended up with wet clothes, hair all over my skin, and with a horrible haircut when I got home.
After she was done with me (scrunching my hair around so that I wouldn't notice how bad it was), I asked her if I could pay the woman at the front desk. She replied, "No, you pay me here." I gave her cash while she waited and watched me fish around in my purse on the floor. They collected no information from me for customer database info, marketing, etc. I just walked out in my wet clothes.
I'm really not a complainer.... but I expect to pay someone (especially a salon owner) to do a job better than what I could do myself.
After going here, I am, quite frankly, embarrased to show my haircut.
I think some of the women in the salon we're getting good cuts... I was just definitely not one of them.

There's no denying that balayage is having a moment. This modern hair coloring technique has taken the beauty world by storm, and it's easy to see why. Balayage is a French word meaning "to sweep" or "to paint", and that's exactly what the colorist does.
