Firehorse Salon in San Francisco, CA

This could not be a more long overdue review for Firehorse and its owner as well as my beloved stylist, Leda. I have been going to Firehorse Salon for over a decade now and I can't tell you how much I love Leda's haircuts, but even more so how obsessed I am with her technique of applying overall color and highlights to her clients' hair in a way that still looks extremely natural, but waayyyy more beautiful than the "natural" way they came into her salon. Very consistently over the years I've received many incredible compliments the days and early weeks out of Leda's salon for color and cut. I have very fine and very long hair that's getting more and more grey each year and as I don't want to look older than I am, keeping my color looking youthful is so very important to me. Leda makes me look and feel like a million bucks, every. single. time. A note about the salon itself would be that it has always felt like such an inviting space. It's clean, bright, welcoming (never pretentious), and always has some very inspiring artist's work on display as if you were getting your hair cut in a local art gallery. With this review, RUN, don't walk to Firehorse; and if you want the best, ask for Leda.

I was very happy to find a place with organic hair colour but the colour didn't cover my greys at all and also took very unevenly to my hair, I would have been better off with at-home colourants instead of spending $110. Sad about the result and waste of money.

Tania has been doing my hair for years and I followed her to Firehorse. I highly recommend her and this salon! Tania never disappoints; she really listens and works with me to find the best cut/color. She is also super personable, funny, and kind. I truly look forward to our time together, and I am really happy that she is now at Firehorse! The energy is really calming and happy there and they have the best products! 5 stars for sure!!

Totally honest: I went to many different hair salons in different countries. This is by far the best place to get a haircut. I don't want to tell you who the person is, but she is so awesome that I am okay with having issues to get future appointments due to higher demand: Tania is incredibly talented and precise. Wow! I love Firehorse and my stylist Tania! The vibr here is calm and welcoming and Tania is amazing. She's been my stylist for over a year now and she's done brilliant things with some unique color and cut requests I've had. She's also very knowledgeable about scalp health and made me aware of some patches of alopecia I have. She's super calming and fun to talk to (though no pressure to chat either, if that's not your thing). She's just good people, as well as a talented stylist. Highly recommend.
