Yasmina took me as a walk in for singles. She was professional and fast I believe it took 4 1/2 hours. Very neat and the shop was clean and comfortable. WARNING: FASO AFRICAN BRAIDING IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL PLACE TO GET YOUR HAIR BRAIDED I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP TO ANYONE I recently went to Faso African salon to get my hair braided. I asked for medium size braids that come a little pass my lower back and I also wanted an ombre color. I was very clear about what I wanted. The person on the other end of the phone quoted me $260.00 for the style and I was told to come in the next day. I thought that was a red flag because I am used to having a consultation first so that the stylist can inspect my hair. But Faso Salon did not want to inspect my hair (they were thirsty for money). Another red flag was I was never asked do my hair need to be washed before the braids (Please do not ignore the red flags as I did). The next day I sat in the chair to get my hair braided and I have begun to notice that the braids were not just twice the size I asked for but there was no ombre. They were adding a little bit of color at the tip of my hair which was not what I ask for. when I told them my concerns about my hair they began to say, "if you don't want it we can take it out" While holding scissors very aggressively. I was even trying to come up with solutions and ways to allow them fix their mess up and still get paid; like can they dye half of my braids to get the Ombre look. I was willing to keep the oversize braids. But you know what those clowns told me "NO!" aggressively again while still holding scissors (the owner was the one holding the ). I knew at that point I was not going to pay someone $260.00 that have a nasty attitude about something they did wrong. They lost my business that day. I allowed them take out the ugly braids from my hair and I left with my money still in my pocket. They wasted 5hrs their time and did not even get paid that day (they were straight idiots).A simple apology would have gone a long way and if they could not fix the problem that day I would have rescheduled. Faso hair braiders felt entitled that day. They lost a lot of money that day and I found a professional hairstylist who was more deserving of my money. I do not want what happened to me at Faso shop to happen to any other woman. Of course the owner will deny this happened to me, but I was recording for my safety.
