Fantastic Sams in Ontario, CA

I'm writing this on my sisters behalf. She had an appointment at 6:30 and despite up showing up early we still had to wait quite a while after her appointment time. We weren't too upset because we're easy going people. But the main reason I'm writing this is because the stylist did such a terrible job on my sisters hair. I don't understand how someone could ruin a simple bob and practically give her a pixie cut. Shamelessly mauled her hair and charged her the $30. I feel so incredibly bad for my sister because she was super excited to get a haircut and spend a little money on herself. You can see it's a terrible hair cut so I don't see how a certified stylist can let their client walk out like that. I don't think she asked for an unreasonable cut and I think the stylist could've made a better judgement call because her client was shy and couldn't speak up for herself.

I scheduled an appointment and showed up at my time. Then had an asian and hispanic female who proceeded to tell me they couldn't cut my daughters hair cut. They blamed me for not specifying what time of cut over the phone and what sex i was. So unprofessional, last time i ever try to bring my business to a local place.

Absolutely horrible service I arrived at 3:30 with an appointment got seated and said I want a cut and dye for my grey hair. I explained that the fantastic Sam's in Rancho got hair dye all over my head last haircut And I would be upset if that occurs. I prefer my hair cut 1st then colored. She insisted on coloring 1st. She gets the coloring on and sits me down and I wait over an hour as she takes another customer (girl hair which takes long). Then she cuts my hair and realizes she has huge grey spots after the cut. And she states she needed to dye it some more as she is cutting it. Then she puts blotches of color and now my whole head is not matching in shade because the 1st color sat for 1 hour. She didn't even wash the color out after application (she said to take a shower later and wash it out)(why did I come to a barber?) Not to mention got hair dye all over my forehead and ears. I stated before that Vaseline should be applied before the dye so none gets in my ears and head and she stated she has been doing this since she was 16 hahaha. Looks like All the Fantastic Sam's hire new and inexperienced bad hair stylists in all their location. After this I will NEVER return to a fantastic Sam's and will be a advocate to the people around me in never going to one

Been here a few times now and they have taken care of me perfectly every time. Short wait time and hair shampooed after each cut. The ladies here are wonderful.

I really try to save money on haircuts but Im now at the point where I don't want to chance my luck here anymore and I'll have to just try and put more money to the side for better beauticians. Im going to just be honest and say that the staff is generally older people (50s-60s) and it's obvious they are stuck in their hair cutting ways from the past. Their techniques are very outdated. They may have a renewed their licenses but it's obvious they stick to the same techniques. At least in my experience. It's unfortunate because they all have been very nice to us. It's hard to really feel express my dissatisfaction when they are defensive and become offended because they've been in the business for so long. The man who cut my sons hair tried to give me a lesson in how my sons hair could not be blended even though his hair is always blended well at a barber shop.He went on to tell me how moms are always so picky. I just wanted to save some extra cash and now I've realized it's still a waste if I need to fix my sons hair at home. My mom went in for a layered haircut a few weeks ago. She was left with a overly layered, straight out of the 80s, hairstyle. Her front layers where cut way too short. The length was thinned out so much from all the layers. Anyone who truly wants a good haircut please do not chance it at this location. Until they hire new hairstylists I will stop coming here.
