I wanted to get a new summer haircut. I came to this salon and had it done. Very satisfied as to how it turned out. This salon seems clean and nice with friendly and accommodating staffs. I will definitely come back again.
This was our 1st experience with this salon, and it was our choice because my son was donating his 12" of hair to Locks Of Love. The first thing the stylist did was humiliate us when she called another stylist over and announced "Is this what I think it is?" the other stylist answered no. (she thought it was lice, and it was dandruff) Them she very roughly combed through it, it did have knots, but she didn't hold the hair in a way to lessen the pain. Then she cut it and said to everyone as she laughed..."He has the perfect hair fir a bob" and everyone laughed...(except us, and my son...basically calling him a girl was inappropriate and unprofessional) everything he asked her NOT to do, that's exactly what she did. His grandmother is a twice over breast cancer survivor, they had no certificates and handed me his hair in a plastic hair cover. The cut was terrible, and he was made fun of in school. We ended up going somewhere else so it could be fixed. You never get a 2nd chance to make a 1st impression. We will NEVER go back there for any of our family members.
Absolutely Terrible, They False Advertise!! I had a coupon for a CUT which included a "Wash & Style" for $16.95, but when I asked how they were thinking they would style my hair the quite snotty worker Victoria explained that if I wanted her to use a round brush or hot iron that it would be $20 more, WHAT!?!?!? So they were going to wash and blow dry my hair and not use a brush! She got her manager I'm assuming (since she didn't introduce herself to me), and she also went on to say that if her employee (Victoria) used a brush or iron that it would cost $20 more, I showed her the coupon and asked what "Wash & Style" meant and she couldn't and didn't have a clear answer. To me they were trying to get more money for something that is ALWAYS part of a CUT, WASH and STYLE! I would NEVER pay $40 for that from a place like this, I guess you live and learn, pay the $30 and go to a real salon, Rumor's in Latham, I tried to find someplace local (since I live in Amsterdam area) but I will drive to Latham or Albany to get a great haircut with no smoking mirrors, and always nice and professional!
