ANC NAILS & SPA in Amsterdam, NY

Every time I come home I go to a nail salon to have a pedi done. The reviews here on yelp had me a little nervous but my experience was AMAZING. I brought my friend for her birthday and the place was clean, welcoming, and had the most relaxing music playing. We were greeted by friendly staff that kept us right on time for our scheduled appointment. The staff member that assisted us was very professional and took her time ensuring our experience was nothing short of perfect. My toes look super cute and my feet feel great! Highly recommend the Happy Spa Pedicure!

When this place first opened, I was so excited to have ANC (dip) so close to home! They did a great job and had tons of colors. Once they started getting more popular, they started overbooking. I came in twice for appointments and they had booked someone else at the same time as me. It resulted in this weird dance with the other person about who was going to go. It left a bad taste in my mouth, so I stopped going. A year or two later, I had a friend say she had gotten her nails done here and loved it- so I thought I'd give them a go again. I needed my nails done for my wedding, so just about 2 weeks before I needed them done, I called to make the appointment. I asked if they could do ombré and the woman said yes, but bring a picture so they can make sure it's what I want. Two weeks pass and I show up to my appointment to find one woman working, doing 3 pedicures. She said I didn't have an appointment, and this woman called 2 days ago to schedule these pedicures. As I left, I called the number in my call log to verify that I had called the correct place. The girl who answered verified it was, and said it was her fault as she didn't write my appointment down. She asked if I could come back that evening, but when you're wedding is one day away, you don't have all that much "free" time! So their mishaps with appointments and the handling of their business is why my rating is so low. The two stars I have given them is because when they get it right, they do a great job.

HORRIBLE! i got a regular manicure, and it was rushed, sloppy, and done wrong. They painted the last coat while I was standing up (???) so it came out super messy. Would not recommend if you want nice nails ://

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The worst customer experience I have ever had. My sister, mom, and I went in for a basic mani/pedi with gel for finger nails and ended getting up charged for over $200 in services without our request. When we sat down for pedis the nail technician asked if we wanted a scent for our scrub. Listed the scents but did not explain that would make our pedi a "deluxe" package. I was running a little late because I had been coming from out of state to visit and hit some traffic. So my technician told me I needed to get gel on my toes "to save time". I explained that it was ok I just wanted regular paint. She did not listen to me and insisted I get the gel. My mother has never had a pedicure before so she wasn't sure when to take her feet in and out of the tub. Her technician would keep smacking her leg/foot every time she wanted her to move and not use her words. It was awful! My poor mother was really bothered by this because she felt like an idiot for not knowing what to do and did not get the relaxing/enjoyable experience my sister and I were hoping for. I hope that others have a better experience than we did because we most certainly won't be returning.

I loved all the different types of anc colors!! They definitely have a lot more colors then any other nail salons that I have been too. They were nice, very clean , but I didn't like the fact that I had to go back more then once Because they made my nails to thin and they kept breaking.
