it was great I have a small animal and I needed his nails cut so I went to this place and the staff were very kind they had a low price and got it done in about 5 minutes definitely coming back there

The staff were unfriendly but I could overlook that if the pets were being cared for properly. One dog was tied up and shaking then proceeded to defecate on the table. I pointed this out to the woman who was checking us in and she told her co- worker (who was working on another dog rather roughly combing his very thick fur) to clean it up. She then told her co-worker that the dog shouldn't be tied up there that long. We had decided against a bath and were doing a nail trim which was good because we wouldn't have left our dog alone there. The same woman clipped our dogs nails and performed another service which went okay except she almost dropped our dog. The overall feel of the place was that of uncaring and unhappy people grooming pets rather roughly and without concern for their welfare. I would not leave my pet there unattended.

Be careful if you have a double coated dog, like a golden retriever. If the hair is accidentally cut/sheered short it will not grown back like it was. Golden retrievers should only have their feathers and the hair on the bottom of their feet trimmed. We used to take our dog here exclusively for a bath and a feather trim and it was the only place she had been. But a year ago....we picked her up and she had been trimmed down all over her coat. The hair on her hind quarters never grow back and is super sparse and thin and the top of her tail is still only at 2 inches after a year. She had scissor cuts on the top of her tail where her hair had been cut crazy short when we picked her up. We took her to the vet to get medicine. She was 18 months at the time and was supposed to go to a dog show. This was the only place we had ever taken her for baths.

We've been taking our goldendoodle to Sandra regularly (about every 8 weeks) for several years. We tried a few other local groomers that we didn't love before our vet recommended Sandra at Fancy Fur. Sandra does an excellent job, is reliable, trustworthy and we really enjoy talking with her as we drop off and pick up our pup. Importantly, the salon is always clean. The only negative is that Sandra books very far out (we always have our next TWO appointments booked with her), so, she's well loved enough that you need to plan ahead! A few times, if Sandra has been unavailable, we've had one of her employees groom our dog and have always been pleased. Thank you Fancy Fur!

We used to own a dog grooming store back in Australia, so when our Aussie Shepherd needed grooming while in Tahoe, we didn't know what to expect. But have to say, we are blown away by how great FF is. Excellent, extremely thorough grooming, lovely people, and always get back a happy pup. My only complaint is that I don't live closer so I can get him groomed by FF more often. Thanks, and keep up the great work.
