Family's Nail Spa in Hohenwald, TN

This is literally the only actual nail salon I was able to find while on vacation here in this specific part of TN so I was very happy to finally get my pedicure.

They are currently only taking appointments, so I'd call before heading in.

Even though I had an appointment, I had to wait about 15 minutes until I was seated at a chair to soak for my pedicure. The gal working there was working on someone else as I walked in. She later shared with me that her two other workers didn't show up and she was all alone with appointments all day. Hopefully, this doesn't happen often as I can see how it would be overwhelming for one person to provide service.

The actual pedicure was very relaxing. She took her time cleaning my nails and painting my toes. I felt she did a good job. I just wish she would have applied another coat of the gel so the color was more vibrant. It was about a 45 minute pedicure that ended with a hot towel.

Also, don't expect suburb, friendly service here. The workers are to the point and can quite brash. While I was there, the gal giving me my pedicure was talking very loudly on the phone with someone the entire time. So, there was very little interaction with her. I didn't mind that too much as she did get the job done and I was not in the mood for small talk. Others might see it as rude or unprofessional.

I'm not sure how they do on nails and manicures. As I was leaving another lady showed up for a fill and the worker there told her she did not do any type of art and only did gel polish on acrylics. I'm not really sure why, but my guess is that it's more expensive and faster for her to complete a set.

Annie does and excellent job on my nails. She is able to easily get my hangnails and ingrown nails out. You have to book an appointment in order to insure that you'll be seen, but I kinda like that. They take their time and hold your time slot that you've reserved. Annie freehand a snowflake design on my nails that looked amazing for New Years.

This was my first time going to this place. I usually always go to Lawrenceburg to get my nails done. Let's just say I will continue to go to Lawrenceburg. I will never in my life go to this so called nail salon again. I took me and my mom to go get our nails done. We had something plain and simple she just got the regular nails to be honest she didn't get no color no nothing she just wanted then nail no white tips or anyting. Now me I got a regular nail that was painted white. I asked if I could have some kind of design or even a little diamond or something put on it. They did not know how to do it so I was like okay can you at least paint One Nail with glitter on it and they did. We were supposed to get our feet done as well but we ended up not getting them done because our appointment was at 10 a.m.  we did not get out of there till after 12 p.m. which was crazy because me and her was the only people in there. So when I went to go pay for mine and my mom's nails it was $97 that is beyond outrageous. I could have went right over to Lawrenceburg and got my nails done for $25 a person then 10 extra dollars for the designs I wanted on my nails and could have had it all done within no longer than 30 minutes. To be honest I could have done went to Lawrenceburg and got my nails done with all the designs I wanted on them and got our feet done and came back home and back to work by the time they was done with us at this place. I would have saved so much more money......I give them zero Stars So for anybody I recommend to not go here and save your time and money and go to another nail salon. Oh and they suck at doing nails also mine look so bad. SMH also it makes u press a star to post a review.
