Some kids hair salons are so full of toys and screens that it's completely overwhelming. My kids like this place and have had wonderful experiences with kind stylists. I was actually surprised to see the reviews posted here -- perhaps they were looking for something different from what this place is, which is a nuts and bolts hair salon. I'm glad we found this salon and it's our go-to for both my 5 year old and 3 year old.
Came here on a whim cause my 3 year old needed a cut... badly! He's terrified of haircuts and screams, yells, kicks, and does whatever he can to avoid it. I've gone to one other child haircut place in Ventura and the woman wouldn't even finish after taking the clippers to one side of his hair (yet still charged full price)! Carmen is the one who helped on us our visit and she was nothing short of amazing. She went straight to work and wasn't phased by my son's behavior. She got it done so quickly and professionally that I was amazed. Carmen worked around it and even distracted him with the toy area and cut his hair there because at that point he was not going back into the chair. She didn't appear to be bothered by the difficulty he gave her and told me to keep bringing him back so we can get him used to it and unafraid. I would recommend her 100%!
Stay away from this place, they ruined my little ones hair. They did what they wanted, not what they where asked for.
If your a man or a women looking to get a solid cut at a very fair price along with a super friendly staff then Family Fun Cuts is your place . I have been getting my haircut here for years from Carmen and always get compliments on the style . The staff treats you like Family and is always accommodating. I have been a customer for many years and will continue to keep coming back as this place is fantastic .....
1 star is toooooo much. This place had one shot and blew it walked in with no appt place had 1 lady getting "something" done and 1 guy waiting @ 130p.m. I asked for haircut nothing fancy just regular old men's haircut blonde haired lady looked around (not sure why) asked if anyone could take me the other lady said she was finishing the woman then the 1 guy and leaving asked me to come back tomorrow said no thanks I have to work and left THE PLACE WAS EMPTY OF PATRONS. Don't worry about me coming back lady
