Family Cuts in Slidell, LA

I left this place in tears. I've never gotten this bad of a hair cut before. If you don't know how to do a certain cut, tell someone that.

I've been very happy with the 2 haircuts I have gotten here. They don't get out the dreaded razor!!  Just a scissors cut. I have a sort of wedge cut. When Bridget is done, it looks great. Not too much cut off. Just keeps my hair nicely styled.

First off, I guess I've always been a bit of a salon snob and I've judged the book by its cover. I would never have got my hair done at a chain or one of those places in the mall. I went to the same hair salon here in slidell for years but every time I went I was in there for longer and the cost was going up.

I would take my son to family cuts and master cuts because I figured there wasn't much that they could do wrong. I took my niece and nephew to this family cuts over the summer and I was impressed with the service and end results.

I assumed that they only did cuts here. I don't know where I got that idea from! Anyhow I asked one day while my son was getting his hair cut about getting a pm shine. They showed me the book and I picked the color. You have to do this in advance as they don't keep all the colors in stock.

I went for my appointment with Gerri. I was so pleasantly surprised. It was the most precise cut I've had in a long time, the color came out perfect, the service was great and I was out in time to pick up from school.

The price was $100 less than my regular salon for the same product and service. They are also great with my son here who goes totally nuts when he gets his hair cut.

Great service + great price equals 5 stars and my next appointment already booked.

My family got our hair cut here yesterday. My 2 boys and myself. My eldest son's hair looked great and I got my hair trimmed and it was OK. On my youngest son, I requested to keep his same haircut, but shorter. I would think that most hairdressers would understand if you cut an inch off the sides, cut an inch off the top. But apparently they heard Buzzcut, because 6 inches was removed off the top. The cut was performed so poorly the clippers part had full length hairs over the ears and the lines were not even straight. Cut so short the lines could not be fixed! Very inconsistent hairdressers, pay close attention before it's too late, and if you like your hair dresser stick with him/her.

This is The Boy's and my place to get our hair cut.  They always do a good job with both me and my son.  This is the only place I'll go from now on to get my hair cut.
