I just had the most horrendous hair experience in my life. Last week I had a consultation with the owner of Exotica Hair Salon, I believe her name is Germaine.
I explained that I was trying to grow out my short hair and wanted to get a full set of hair extensions to last 4-6 months to allow for my hair to grow out of the awful in-between hair cut phase. I paid her a $500.00 deposit and agreed to pay the rest ($500.00 for a total of $1000.00) after the work was done.
I was looking forward to the new look, especially after seeing their youtube video about hair extensions.
Today I went to get the extensions done and not only did I not get a full head (I looked like someone had given me a bad mullet), but the extensions were not real hair as she claimed and the little she put in didn't even fill the back of my head. When I expressed my outrage, she tried to convince me that I agreed to only get hair extensions for the back of my hair and would not take responsibility for a horrible job.
I asked her to take them off and then she stopped arguing with me and told me that if I could come back tomorrow she would get more hair and fill the rest, of course I didn't agree. In the end she pulled the extensions very roughly off my hair (I hope I don't have any bald spots now). She would not reimburse my $500.00 telling me that it wasn't her fault because she clearly remembers that I agreed to half a head of extensions, and also had the audacity to try to charge me an extra $100.00 for badly removing the extensions she put in.
So to recap: Not only did I not get the hair extensions, but I also didn't get my $500.00 back, I now have a huge headache and a head full of the bonding agent she used to attach the extensions.
