Excelsior Nails And Day Spa in Excelsior, MN

I've been going to Excelsior Nails & Day Spa since they've opened and have always considered them a cut above other manicure places. I'm sad to say that is no longer the case. The quality of the manicures and pedicures have gone down considerably - the massages are perfunctory, I've had my cuticles bleed, and the colors put on unevenly. Besides all of that, for the last two times, there was a 30 minute delay in getting to my services and having to listen to the religious piano music for that length of time is beyond my ability to stay chilled out so this time I left and will be very unlikely to come back, which is a shame since it is so close to my house.

I stopped in this location today around 11am. There was a gentleman with his two kids checking out at the counter and 5 employees sitting around. I explained the service I wanted which was to take off the acrylic on my nails, and I would then just get a gel manicure. The employee asked me three times what I wanted. I repeated the same thing all three times. She then replied with "ok" she walked over to the desk where the gentleman was checking out, and stood there to then asked me, across the room, if I had an appointment. Which she knows I did not from when I first walked in, and she asked me what service I needed. She then went behind the counter, to say "Can you come back" I replied with "What time would that be" She stood there for a second and said "4:30" I said no, that would be too late, I am from out of town and will be leaving by 2:30. She replied with "Ok Sorry" meanwhile there are 5 employees sitting around, including her, it is 11am, they just opened an hour ago, and there are zero customers. I understand if there are appointments that hold priority over walk-ins but not one of the five ladies could help me. She never looked at a book or anything. She refused the service because?

Ask for Tammy. Fabulous pedi and mani. Flawless. Really enjoy the experience. The hot towels, massage, the place was very comfortable and not overcrowded. Would go back in a heartbeat. Hot tip: Try their Groupon.

they are currently running a Tuesday special where they claimed that if you pay for a gel pedicure in cash, you get a gel manicure for free. That is not true. I get to the counter to pay and they charged me $88. Their so called "deal" was only a free gel add on which only saves $15. Very misleading to take advantage of customers.

Do not. Do NOT get a massage here!!!! I'll admit it felt great at first except the really hot stones were super hot!! I have medical issues which I was up front with. She claimed she could "cure" them and she saved people from surgery. I have horrible migraines and other sharp pains in my head from nerve damage. She ended with a pushy sales pitch on some medication that I used before that didn't do much, but this was professional grade and did wonders... It doesn't do anything, but stink like menthol. Anyways, I did leave feeling pretty good. Then a few hours later my body was extremely sore and my migraine was awful, the next day I woke up barely able to move and my headaches worse than ever. To top that off. I had a massive bruise on my thigh, and a burn/bluster on my back fro the stones, this lady should not touch anyone ever again!!!
