I had a 56$ blow dry, done by someone (can't remember her name) with no expertise. You could tell from the low energy she had in holding the brush. I tried to encourage her to be more forceful but she couldn't. It was a very slow and very ineffective blow dry. After five minutes my hair looked bad, as if no one had blow dry'd them. YOU CANNOT CHARGE $56 plus tip if you can't do the job. It's not right, it's dishonest. If you charge these prices you need to know what you are doing. I do not recommend this place for a blow dry.
Allyson is literally the most generous and kind person!!!! She was SO kind and gentle with my hair, and her demeanor was an absolute DREAM!!!! OMgoodness. I have 4c afro hair, so she had to spend way longer on it than she expected because it was tangeled up, but never once did she complain or quit. She got the job done and result is exactly what I wanted. I will be back for sure!
I've been a customer of Escape for three years; Matthew has been cutting my hair for at least two years (I think) and he gave me the best haircut ever last Saturday. Very disappointed with the customer service. I had a very concerning experience several years ago at the salon and reported it to the owner who never responded to me. I was shocked that they wouldn't reach out to try to make things right after it was recognized and documented by the salon internally that they were at fault. I decided to give this place another chance since that particular stylist wasn't there anymore. The next stylist that I went to was extremely rude. I don't want to post names of people on this because I do believe in protecting privacy, however if you are thinking of going to this salon, feel free to message me directly. The results at this salon were decent, however there are other salons in the area where they charge literally half as much and are actually polite and deliver superior customer service. It feels like a total scam. "Escape" from this place as fast as you can.
Go see Kai for cuts, color, blinding, extensions, or just a blowout. She's a sweetheart with HUGE attention to detail and will make sure you're do comes out perfect. Parking out in front, it's like $2 for the meter parking for two hours.
