I've gone to 12 salons over the past 6 years. Most of those Aveda concept because that is the salon I grew up in; untill now! Jaclyn H. At Salon Cortez finally listened to me, and Im not sure if anyone else ever feels BOXED into a corner? Stylewize? Is that a word? I always said what I wanted but when I left I always felt like I had an updated version of ... Well 'garfield'! Copper Orange Warm Reds ...Whatever word they used I hated it. Jaclyn listened, and changed it. All I've wanted was a way to embrace my mid 40s. Which means greys, but silver is the new blonde and I right ladies? She also explained; " If you have to skip a salon touch up you should use this, not that"! Who does that? To top it all off I heard about Salon Cortez on Groupon and you would have never known it. Made my appointment online. Got a text msg reminder, set up my card for a security hold on my appointment. Idk about you but that lets me know Im not wasting my effort. Within days of purchase I'm writing this review. I've got eyelashes that cant seem to get permed(scheduled) but that's a whole other YELP! No matter if you need to save some money or you just need to know before you go, 2 thumbs up for Jaclyn H. from the Bay area. You can find her in Little Italy 1550 Front Street.
My experience with Jaclyn was outstanding, from beginning to end. First of all, she listened to me very carefully to understand my vision for my hair. Next, she took her time and worked conscientiously to create the color I was hoping for. Because she is not only a hairstylist, but also an expert educator in coloring techniques, I trusted her, and I am beyond pleased with the results. Finally, she has a lovely personality, so you will enjoy her company while getting your hair done. I can't recommend her highly enough!
Jaclyn is amazing! I gave her a rough idea of what I wanted, and she did a better job than I envisioned. She talks with you through exactly what she's doing and checks that everything is how you're wanting it. I would seriously give her more than 5 stars if I could! I will now only be going to Jaclyn anytime I need anything hair-related! Plus, the salon is very clean, and I felt completely safe! Oh and getting an appointment, finding the place, and paying were all super easy.
