Elements Salon in Lancaster, PA

I first came to Elements many years ago when they first opened with my than stylist Luz. I was pleasantly surprised recently when I saw an ad as I hadn't been over that way for years and didn't know they were still open. Luz is now long gone but Tina the owner was happy to fit me in. The salon was clean, quiet and relaxing - just what I needed after a rough day. Tina ran on time and asked me questions to get to know me, my hair, and my styling habits and hair goals which I appreciated. At this price point it was unexpected that she would take the time to inquire but it goes to show your satisfaction is important to her. I was happy with my results and felt it was a good value for the money, with a wash/cut/style running a few dollars less than a mall stylist, in a much better atmosphere. Conversing with Tina was pleasant and effortless, like talking to a friend. If I had to offer any corrective criticism my only concern was that she was a little too conservative in the amount she cut. Which, is not really a disappointment at all, given that I was a new client and I'd rather have a little off than a lot, at least until she gets to know me and my style. Will definitely return when my regular stylist can't get me in.

I was looking to try a new salon and decided on Elements because it is near my home (instead of my normal 20 min drive across town) and the price was right ($30 for women's wash, cut & style). When I called, I was able to get an appt the same day (so refreshing not to have to wait 2 wks to get an appt.). I arrived a few minutes early and was taken right back...no waiting! The salon was spacious, clean and welcoming and my stylist (Tina) was very pleasant. She enjoys what she does and you can tell by her demeanor. She consulted with me first to see what I was looking for from my hair cut, then took me back to the shampoo bowl. She gives a really good shampoo. My stylist listened to my preferences and was thorough. My sides were even and everything felt good. Overall I was pleased with my haircut and first experience at Elements Salon AND at check-out I was welcomed back again instead of being pressured to schedule another appt. Nice!!

I've been a going to Elements for about three years now, and have never had a problem. It's nice to come home and go somewhere where you are recognized. I personally see Tina (love her!) and she's great about keeping up rapport with me and remembers what we talked about the last time I came in even though I go for haircuts about every three or four months. From what I can tell, the rest of the gals who work there do just the same. You definitely get the feeling that Elements is filled with a lot of "regulars." For a wash, cut, blow-dry, and style its $30 (definitely less if you are a man and possibly a woman with a short cut). Yes, I know there are cheaper places in town, but I like the personal attention that I get from a smaller salon. And more importantly, I can honestly say I've never had a bad haircut from here. Elements also offers nail salon services, but I've never taken advantage of them. I have always called ahead to schedule an appointment, and I advise that you do the same. However, you probably don't need to call more than a week in advance.
