Effusive Hair Salon in Crofton, MD

I scheduled my first visit with the salon and stylist Ms.Annette and had a very ease, informative and professional experience. I was greeted with a smile, the other stylists and clients were welcoming as well. I greatly appreciated the consultation about my hair health for a color I desire and made suggestions on styles that will present volume in my thinning areas. Annette made me feel comfortable and confident in my current hair state where other stylists had me self conscious and I chose styles suitable to their comfort instead of my liking. I thank you so much for my first day but extended relationship going forward. God's blessings to you all.

Yesterday I spent $60 dollars for a trim and shampoo/cond treatment. I was beyond shocked after I left. I sat down in the chair, she cut off 2inch from my hair in a straight line, not even making sure the front was even or anything and I was done in under 5 min. For a trim to to cost $25 was beyond ridiculous. I could have done that myself. I was to nice to say anything but I was scammed out of my money.

I recently moved back to the area and was dreading looking for a new hair salon that deals with natural hair. I searched and searched online and found this salon basically in my backyard. Annette's salon is clean, quaint and the atmosphere was calm & relaxing. Great music on in the background! She arrived on time, is extremely professional and my hair was done in 1.5 hours; I went on a Wednesday. She includes a basic hair care treatment/conditioner without any extra cost and has other treatments available if needed. Very gentle with natural hair and not "scissor-happy." She just knows what she is doing. I left with soft flowing hair at less cost than my last salon, but just as great quality. I will definitely be back. I don't need to look any further! Oh and btw while I was getting my hair done another client was getting passion twist by another stylist and they looked awesome, so I'll probably try those too for a vacation or simply to give my hair a break from manipulation. You won't regret trying this salon.

Ebony is a pure magician with colors!!! I absolutely love the "split decision" coloring she did for me (if I could post a pic for yall to see, you would too). Effusive Salon was well worth my drive from Woodbridge. The stylist are very pleasant and welcoming. I can't wait for our next hue adventure:) ~kboogie

This salon's stylists have nurtured my hair back to health. I went from doing weekly Dominican blowouts in NYC and my hair was beyond damaged from over use of heat and color. I've been going to Effusive for over a year and my natural curl pattern is back and flourishing!! I've gained length, and when I want to switch it up with color, The colorist knows just how to make me pop without bleaching and damaging my tresses. I can get my protective styles here too, they have an awesome on hand stylist for those looks as well. The environment is warm and inviting, and the shop has recently had a face lift that brightens the place up even more!
