WHY is it so hard to find a professional stylist that knows how to do BLONDE in Aiken/Augusta?!!

This was a disaster!!
Went to lunch one day, the waitress had a decent blonde so I asked "who did your hair?".
She gave me the persons name, and I thought "just call, maybe this one will work out".
After ALL the disappointing (and very frustrating) attempts at other salons, I was ANXIOUS but hopeful.
Called Bailee, made an appt
for a consultation to discuss my "wants". Repeatedly said "I am wanting hi lights with a few lo lights to help blend and allow grow out" (I have blonde but it had turned too golden).
She assured me she could do it, so I made the appt!!
Went to the appt and immediately knew she had messed it up!!
I paid $150 (plus a tip), left there very frustrated! After I got home I knew that I was not happy and would not be ok if I just "settled, especially after paying that amount.
I text, expressing my disappointment and absolute confusion/frustration to why my hair was no longer blonde but now dark/ashy and very dull.
She agreed to get me in and "fix it".
It was a horrible "fix", but I knew I needed to give my hair a break, with hopes that it would recover.
4 weeks later I was back in her chair, thinking Dear God please let this work.
Unfortunately it did not.
Her thought this time was to use a technique using clay/bayalge (?)...never heard of it, but what I do know is it caused even more damage. The root tap (her words) she used caused a distinctive orange root that purple shampoo won't  fix.

It's sad when you want to wear a hat everywhere because you are embarrassed of how your hair looks.
No one wants the DIY look!

My advice, if you're looking for a "Master Stylist"...do not go here.
The fancy business card is false advertisement for the work that is done.
Over priced and inexperienced.
Not worth the time or the money.

The saying "you get what you pay for" does not apply in this situation.

Recently moved to SC and needed to find a new hair salon.  I went to David at Edge Salon and was so happy with the results of my color and cut!  I have been to him twice now and won't be going to anyone else.  This is my new hair salon and I am thrilled!  Also had a pedicure by Heather, she is awesome!  One of the best pedis I've had.  I will be going to her for my pedis and manis from now on.

Few years ago, I looked for a place in North Augusta to get my hair done. It would not be an easy task, I have lots of hair, thick and rebellious. So I found Edge Salon and spa. Made an appointment and I found myself in  a beautiful, calm place with all this art around me. As David took care of my hair, my hair became more manageable. Completely wonderful hair now, the hair products are unique and excellent it has tamed my hair. Valerie gave me facials that were wonderful. She is calm and so knowledgeable!!!The owners David an Valerie are lovely people. They are always helpful! I highly recommend Salon Edge all around!!!

I left a toxic environment salon (for me), a person I had gone to for yrs!  She did a great job, but something and some things had changed!  She went to a new salon, and I started feeling like time I went there, I was at a good old boy's club meeting!  The salon was sm, so we were all close and I did not want to hear all this very narrow mined talk!  Also, my person was slowly not treating me as a valued client anymore!  Decided to make the big plunge into finding a new person, which is terrible to me!  I went to one place on Broad St in Augusta, Ga and paid a fortune, and a few days later, my hair looked hardly dif!  Talked to someone else, and they were even more exp!  Finally was told by a customer of mine, to try David at Edge!  Wonderful environment!  Great cut and color!  Prices are fair!

I spent almost a year trying to find a stylist that could work with my naturally curly hair and use hair color that didn't wash out after 1 week or damage my hair. My search often ended in disaster until a friend referred me to Megan at Edge salon. At my very first appointment with Megan I was feeling very nervous after having so many bad experiences, but Megan put my fears to rest and at the end of my appointment my hair looked perfect. She always listens and is great at making sure we are both on the same page when trying something new, like highlights and lowlights. Also, I've had events that were kind of spur of the moment and Meghan has always been able to work with me and get me in. I can't say enough about this extremely talented woman! If you are looking for a stylist that will give you the results you want then call Megan!
