I found Drue right here on yelp and it was amazing. I drove by the place 5 times but I just parked and realized it was directly across the street. They were understanding (even though I felt like an a$$) that I was late but I got right into my seat. I went in for a color touch up and my stylist was she-MAY-zing!!! Oh dear sweet Jesus with all of his soft cushy blankets, it was perfection. She validated that my prior stylist was "awkward" in cutting my hair. She was kind. I was using many more descript adjectives than awkward. Lol that's how I knew she was professional and had a big heart. I also received a quick a trim. Overall. This cut, color, drying and styling (my hair is curly So it was straightened). People came over and oooh'ed and ahh'ed. I felt like the queen I am
I've lived in Kalamazoo my whole life and am SO glad that I finally found Drue (Drue himself and the salon in general)! Drue listened to me for what I wanted in a haircut/style more than any other stylist has in like my whole 25 years of life :) I have very thick coarse hair that is difficult to take care of with my arthritis. He taught me things about how "thinning" hair with scissors is done in the US vs other countries, the way he does it keeps me from looking like a triangle head. Such a nice environment and everyone that works there is so friendly and helpful! I have never had such a good maintainable haircut, it's easier to take care of and still long enough to put up :) I wish I could give ten stars
I went in and worked with gabby and she was great. She stayed late for me and did Exactly what I wanted when I just told her broadly the look I was going for. She took her time and didn't rush, would recommend!
Drue salon is awesome! I'm a Kalamazoo native and after my go-to stylist changed careers I had to find someone new. It took me a few years to finally find the perfect place--and this is Drue. I personally go see Dani, she's so talented and great to chat with. I highly recommend this salon and all of the stylists!
