Dream Nails in Mechanicsville, VA

This was the worst nail salon experience I've ever had. I called ahead for an appointment for wax, mani & pedi. They had an appointment 1 hour later; so that part went well. I was quickly & kindly taken back for a very good face wax. That was the end of things going well. The pedicure looks like a child did it. The manicure was worse. I wanted my gel removed & this removal destroyed my nails- I know it doesn't have to be done this way. Instead of gel I wanted a regular polish french. It looked absolutely ridiculous. For the first time in my life I asked to have the polish removed. They blamed it on my nails, which were long & strong when I came in. The "tech" had cut them down too short & when I asked to remove the poorly done manicure it was blamed on the length of my nails- a good tech can put a French on shorter nails. Since the French looked so awful I asked for color matching the pedi for nails. It was quickly done. I sat in front of a small fan, in an uncomfortable position for 1/2 hour for the polish to dry. It was uneven & full of bubbles. I just wanted to leave. I was charged $108 for the privilege of having to go to CVS for remover & strengthening treatment to do myself. It was a waste of time & money.

Today was my first time here and it was great! My nail stylist was super friendly and did a great job. Highly recommend.

Don't waste your time or money here. I opted for regular polish instead of gel because I knew that I would be going back to my regular salon in 2 weeks. The polish didn't make it a full week and cracked within 5 days. Instead of allowing me to dry where I was they instead that immediately after polishing I move to the front. The lady was in there sweeping the floor as I approached and kept sweeping as I was going by. Now I understand why they are always available; because nobody goes here.

I have gone to Kim for nails and pedi for years. She does a great job. I highly recommend her.

I made my appointment for 11am Sat. I got there late AND had the nerve to bring my sister (no appointment) with me for a little pedicure sibling relaxation time! Jess informed me that I needed a full set because bubble had formed under the acrylic and could cause fungus and infection! I had a couple other visits to other salons as well as this one but none of them told me this nor suggested a full set. I accepted her professional recommendation and my nails were absolutely perfect. Perfect shape, Perfect length, polish was smooth and even. My sister and I then got our pedis and they were awesome as well! Jess you have gained a customer for life!
