Donna's Nails in York, PA

I had a pedicure here for the first time. I arrived 8 minutes early, picked out a polish and politely asked the nail tech closest to my proximity if maybe I could soak a few extra minutes while I awaited my time. Another tech, who I found out later was the owner's niece, SHOUTED from the back of the salon that my "appointment is 11:30 and we will soak you at 11:30 ". I politely repeated my question, explaining I have hard to remove callouses because I stand at my job and extra soaking time allows them to soften. She then repeats, WITH ATTITUDE, "your appointment is 11:30, we soak you at 11:30", so I sat down in the waiting area. At precisely 11:30, a third nail tech calls to me from across the room for me to come over to soak. I didn't even realize she was speaking to me until another customer said something. I went to where she was filling the foot bath and asked if she would please be sure to make the water hot for me. She walked away to tend to the client at her manicure station, leaving me to maneuver myself, my shoes, my purse and my drink alone. Once I was seated, I slipped my feet into the water, which was lukewarm at best. I soaked for a few minutes and the tech I spoke to originally came to do my pedicure. I asked her to be certain to tend to my big toes, where I tend to get ingrowns. The owner's niece piped in from across the room once again. "We're not allowed to dig out ingrown toenails. " I don't have an ingrown toenail, nor did I say I do. (This was only a thought in my head, not spoken aloud. I didn't care for this woman's attitude and didn't wish to engage with her.) The tech proceeds with my pedi...clipping, filing, trimming my cuticles...barely touching me. It was almost like she was afraid to touch me. The massage was no better. I stand on my feet for long hours at a time and develop knots in my calves. At no point in time did she put enough pressure on my feet or legs to know there were any issues. Several times during the service I considered getting up and walking out. I felt as though the staff was unprofessional and even rude at times. The service itself was below par. Keep in mind, I work in this industry (I do hair and am trained to do nails as well), so I know how customers SHOULD be treated and what the service should look like. Their only saving grace was it was only $30. I will GLADLY drive 25 minutes to my former nail salon and pay twice the price. I will NEVER darken the door of this place again.

I've went to this nail salon for 5 years now off an on since I moved around a lot. And the past 3 appointments I've had they have been so rude to me. I called the other day to make an appointment and they hung up on me twice. I'm not going back. They have changed in a bad way.

I'm from Philly and was struggling finding a nail tech that understood what I wanted in this area. This place was phenomenal! She knocked it out of the park. Excellent, precise work, great vision and suggestions. The place was clean, the staff was friendly. I get compliments constantly. I found my place!!

We had an appointment, or so we thought. The woman was extremely rude and told us she would be right with us. I believe they should have a visit from the state inspector. It was so dirty, we immediately felt that we picked the wrong salon. Have you ever entered an establishment and felt grossed out. This was how it felt to walk into Dirty Donna's. Pick any other salon. There are so many other nail salons in our area. Clean up your act Donna. These customers will never come back or recommend you.

Had such a wonderful experience here and I can't wait to go back! The salon was clean, friendly, and they had SO many color options. I walked in and was SO HAPPY to see Nee, who used to do my nails at a different salon. She did the dip powder on me and it was very reasonably priced. I found my new salon!
