Desert Sun Tanning Salon in Longview, WA

I have always loved the service here. I've been coming to this place for almost 10 years and the gal there now is my favorite. She isn't sales pitchy she is straight up and not overly fake nice like some of the folks use to be. It's refreshing. She always remembered my name when I walk in the door and I only tan once every two or three months. She is always helpful when picking out a mini lotion when I forget mine and doesn't try to upsell me on things. This is why I will continue to go to this place. Keep up the good work. My friends and I went to get a spray tan here, we usually get the vista machine, but the nice girl working told us we cannot use that machine. So we ended up using the Mystic spray tan machine. I was the first to get mine done, and the machine was not clean at all, the bottoms of all three of our feet were deep orange/brown color from the excess spray on the bottom of machine. We had to go out and buy a scrub bar to get it off. Also our tans are very uneven and splotchy. Very inconvenient and do not recommend using this machine.

My mom went in today to redeem a Groupon that was gifted to her. She did this before and ended up buying a package over a year ago and was hoping to do the same thing. The girl working told her no initially because she wasn't a new customer. After speaking to her manager she said she would honor it since it had been over a year since she had been there. Then after being super rude to my mom she completely denied her service all together since apparently she was being "disrespectful." My mom never raises her voice or is rude to people. She was just trying to understand how to redeem her gift. The girl working probably just assumed she wasn't going to make much commission so she didn't want to help my mom. The last time I was there myself I just went in for a spray tan and the girl working was also super rude so I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same girl. 3 minutes ago Kelsey or what ever the girls name in the Longview is horrible!! Never a smile.. she changes the rules on the packages bought.. If i buy spray tans i ecpect to get spray tans.. bit no apparently you but the package and then you get to pay extra to tan. This review is for longview only and the rude manager. Every where else i go im treated fine. This isnt an isolated incident. She is ALWAYS RUDE..

I love going here. I've never had to wait. Someone always greets me right away and someone always says goodbye and thanks when I leave, or something similar. It's clean, I've never had to wait for a level 2 bed. It's affordable, the staff is very friendly and informed. I'm so glad I went here on a whim and did not yelp it first. I don't understand only 3 stars. I've been going there a month now and not had anything close to negative happen. Love this place. It's my 15 minutes of peace
