I really wanted to support this local beauty school and provide experience to their graduates with the salon but they make it so tough to do so. I found their clinic hours online Tues-Friday 10am-3p.m. I showed up on a Friday at 10a.m and myself and another woman were waiting in the parking lot as I tried the door and it was locked. At 10:15 I decided to knock and was greeted by who I presume is an instructor who stated they didn't have any seniors to do service so the clinic is closed. This was a huge inconvenience. When I told this to the other lady waiting she said that she came a few Fridays ago and the wait was over 2 hours long. I took heed and attempted to show up this past Tuesday but decided to call before I took off work early to go. Well I called 4 times and my call was never answered. I left work and once I entered the clinic no one came to me, after standing for about 6 minutes a student went to the back and got someone who I presume is an administrator. When I asked if i could be serviced she said I could not because it was too late and they would be closing in an hour. I stated that I called and she pointed to the front desk and said yes no one is covering it....wow no solution at all nor an apology. I asked if someone would be able to do my hair on Friday and was told that "she can not guarantee it". I will not be back but I can at least say I tried. I want to end with the website says "dreadlocks" which is an outdated word to describe "locs" which lets me know the progression with styles and teachings is most likely outdated at this academy.

Ruined my hair.. cut off 9+ inches after clearly stating I wanted no length off, just a trim... front desk was rude as well.. worst experience... save your hair, go to professional, these girls aren't taught properly about technique, nor proper attitude towards customers.

Students are very helpful and do a good job. Front desk will change the price on you without notice. Menu says child braid is 12. Paid that first time, second time I'm charged 30 for corn rows. The menu says corn row is 20 on the kids menu. Totally confused. I paid and left. Mind you this happened on a month period, my child is still a child and her hair didn't get longer. I'd rather pay one of the girls to do het hair on the side. The one star is for management that can't get their price right. The students get a 5 star from us.
