Deep Passion Salon in Bellevue, NE

I went to get my hair colored after using a boxed color that just didn't look good.  Brandi fixed the color for me and it looked beautiful.

I loved the cleanliness of the salon, and the people were really nice and welcoming, but I didn't have a good hair experience.  I was seeing Kara, and she does a wonderful job cutting hair, but as for coloring not so much.  I was left with very burnt hair, and the color wasn't even what I went in for.  She said one more time would probably get me the color I wanted.  No thank you!  I wouldn't have hair left over if I did that.  The bleach was left on way too long!, and it literally burnt my hair.  She put lots of products in my hair to make it look decent, but when I washed it the next morning, it looked like a bird nest and I couldn't even put a comb through it!!  I had a sink full of broken hair as I was trying to fix it.  I was very upset and felt like it was such a waste of my time and money!  and chose to go try to get some of it cut off.  It was Monday, and they were closed so I had to go else where, and spent more money there!  I ended up coloring over the color at home so it could look somewhat normal.  I've also spent a small fortune on products trying to repair the damage that was done!
A couple of weeks later I took my son in for a haircut, just to see if she had anything to say about my hair, and not one word was said.  I think if your confident and pride yourself in what you do, you would of at least asked did you not like it?  It was really awkward!  I would of even given her another chance at just trying to make it right, but nothing!  I recently left a message and my number to try to get some of the damage cut off, and never heard anything back.  I ended up getting my hair trimmed by another hair stylist Tammy who did a wonderful job!  I just felt bad that she had to fix someone else's disaster.  I blame myself for putting my trust in what I thought was a professional.  That to me is not good business, and word of mouth can destroy someone's reputation.  Don't be fooled by how your hairstylist hair looks.....someone else does it!!

Absolutely love this place. The owner, Cathy Menke, does an excellent job with my hair. Always feel so welcome when I am there.

My wife went and had a great experience there.  Loved the place.  Loved the stylist (Kara) and loved the way her hair looked.

So, today when I finally decided to do something about my shaggy, funky bed head, I checked to see if they had any same-day appointments.   They did!  

I'm not really all that picky about haircuts or barbers.   As long as the place is nice, the stylist is cool, and the haircut looks presentable without costing a fortune, I'm pretty pleased.

This place and particularly my stylist (Kara) knocked it out of the park!   Great, easy to find location.  Parked directly outside the door (no searching for spots or paying meters).  Everyone was so friendly and kind.  

Kara listened to me tell her about how I like my hair and then tackled the bird nest on my head.  It didn't take long before she had me looking like a normal human again.  We talked the whole time and the experience was great.   Also, a very nice price!

I was looking around Yelp for the popular men's barbers around town and they wanted double the price.  Y'all can keep all those overpriced hipster places with super long wait times.  I'm going to keep going down to Bellevue and John Edwards Salon.  You should give them a shot.

I was a repeat customer here, but not anymore.  Hair and Nail personnel are competent and professional, however the front desk is not.  When calling to schedule an appt to fix several broken nails,  I was placed on hold and was refereed to someone named Libby.  Her first question was 'what do you want us to do about it?"  Then after being subjected to 20 questions which I felt were more relevant to discuss with the nail tech than a 'gate keeper', I was pushed out 4 days for their first available appt.  Since my hands looked awful with four nail completely gone, I made arrangements to have them done at another salon who had time to fix my nails the same day.  Out of courtesy I called JE back to cancel the appt made earlier and free up the nail tech's calendar, only to have  Libby comment that she saw on the calendar I had a future appt should she cancel that too?  How that was relevant escapes me, but her rather caviler attitude with providing customer service or interest in retaining existing customers caused me to not only cancel all future nail appointments, but I called back and canceled my future hair appointments too.  I will take my hard earned dollars and spend them at a salon that cares about their customers and will do whatever to keep them happy and returning.  JE Salon doesn't have that attitude.
