If I could give this place a minus one I would. I had my hair done by Pearl based off of service she gave my mother. It was horrible! I was initially upset because she cut off healthy hair - about an inch or more- as I was explaining to her that I wanted her to go in and trim my hair and didn't care about it being even and I did not want a straight across cut. I noticed that my hair was smoking and I have baby fine hair. My hair was really greasy. Once I got home I was even more upset:
My curls are straight at the ends- heat damage, my hair fell out in clumps in the shower- she used cheap products from the drug store and I still had split ins- I went in and trimmed myself.
I should have never gone there. She did call and ask if - on her own- we would like to come back because she didn't feel she did our hair right, but I declined; if I receive this kind of service specifically on the first visit I will not come back. I'm really not happy. My hair was in it's growing stage and now I am going to have to cut even more from the ends and baby it all summer on the hopes that it will snap back.
My hair before the trim was past my shoulders and it just needed to be tipped. Now it's at my neck and damaged.

My significant other goes here and loves it. Both Curtis and Pearl do a great job. Neither of them rush it, especially Pearl. This is a nice, professional and family owned barbershop which I encourage others to support.

Kim, the owner, has been doing my hair since I was a little girl and have done an amazing job. I have natural hair and Kim has helped nourished my hair since I've damaged it when I was young. She has done highlights on me that looked beautiful in the summer. She has done waves and curls using professional tools and never left my hair damaged. I love the vibe of the salon and I also love another stylist Sylvia who does amazing styles. Kim and Sylvia are knowledgeable and open minded as well as accommodate to people's cultures and religion. Women and people can feel comfortable. Kim and Sylvia have a great connection with young women and is so fun to have conversations with. Kim has many years of experience and works with all hair types and I have referred her many times to my friends and family members. I would also like to add that she did my cousins hair for a wedding, who was 2 years old at the time and was super patient with her. The customer service is wonderful. Since I've been coming to Kim my hair has been getting much healthier and longer and if it wasn't for her, I don't think my hair would be where it is now. Forever be a loyal customer!
