I trust Martin with my hair. There have been times when I've gone to him wanting to maintain my current style with a trim, and times when I've gone to him wanting to try something completely new. He always listens, understands what I want, and gets it right. I enjoy going to this salon and highly recommend it.

I am new to Jersey City and after reading about various salons in the downtown area I settled on Dazzling Hair Salon. Its website was professional and it was near enough to walk to, and furthermore when I called them, they responded warmly and gave me an appointment within a few days. I went to get my hair permed. This was the fourth time in my life that I was getting a perm and each time I promise myself I wont ever get another perm, except that I love curls! Since my hair is a mixed curly-wavy kind, the perm has to be soft yet curly enough to be seen, yet not so strong to make the hair dry and brittle like. Yelena, the senior stylist was assigned to work with me and she suggested an alkaline perm. When I showed her that I wanted big curls in a spiral form, she suggested the medium sized rollers and also suggested that she would wound them in such a way that when opened, the curls would fall in spirals. Also, upon my request she kept the solution on for no more than 20 minutes as in the past anything more had made my curls too tight and dry. The end result was fabulous! The alkaline solution (though on the internet it says its harsher for some hair) actually proved very good on my hair. And the spiral curls that Yelena gave me are absolutely superb! Maybe, I would have wanted the curls to be even of a bigger size but these are great too! I've never been more pleased with a perm that the one done by Yelena. My hair is bouncy despite the perm. TIP: Please use a very good leave in hair curl lotion to get that effect. I use, Cocunat curl booster (https://cocunat.com/en-us/product/curl-booster-250ml ) followed by a few drops of Moroccan oil ( https://www.moroccanoil.com/us_en/ ) topped off by a few drops of your favorite perfume. Please don't spray the perfume directly on the hair. Spray a bit in your palm and then crunch your hair with it. My favorite is Oud perfume. Also, during the day keep slightly wetting your hair and re-crunching to keep the fresh, bouncy curl effect. Also, in the night wet your hair all over, crunch and go to sleep and when you wake up in the morning, your curls should still be fresh and bouncy. The trick is to keep wetting and crunching your hair all day long when the hair becomes dry. Thank you, Yelena for your time, effort and friendly disposition. I've been calling for 2 days and no one answers the phone. Then a message comes up tells me to enter the phone number again and it's still doesn't let me leave a message and it doesn't ring anywhere and no one picks up. How does a business operate doesn't like this?

We went to dazzling Hair Salon for a haircut on Saturday. I got my haircut from Martin and my husband got his haircut from Adriana. We called for an appointment the day before and were accommodated graciously by Martin. We used to live in the area before and would frequent this salon. The salon look newer as it was renovated, it was clean everyone was wearing a mask. The staff is warm and very professional and I was seated on time for my appointment. Also making a note of the pleasant music which made our experience enjoyable. Martin is very experienced and professional and is able to handle my hair which mind you is pretty thick. Martin heard my request carefully and gave me exactly the look I was after. My hair looked very healthy and fresh and was long in length as I wanted it to be, with additional layers and bounce. I was extremely happy with my haircut and the blow dry was perfect. My husband has a curly hair as well. He looked really cute after his haircut I think Adriana did a brilliant job. We were extremely happy and will definitely continue to keep going back to Martin and team.
