I have been to a lot of hair stylists. Dan is BY FAR the best one. I have very short hair and it needs to have a very exact cut. He is so precise!! I always get compliments on my haircut. He's also great at color. Dan is so good that people think I don't have any gray hair!!! The color looks very natural which is exactly what I want. I have been going to Dan for at least 10 years and have followed him to different salons. He's at Fringe and Fern in Walnut Creek now which is a hair salon and plant store!! While it may seem like an odd combo, it's very relaxing to be surrounded by plants- it's an environment which I appreciate!! Dan is not only a great hair stylist- he's just an all around great guy!! He's smart and interesting to talk to. He's a great listener. He makes sure there's good music in the background. You can't go wrong with Dan!! PS My husband gets his haircut by Dan too!! And my husband looks great!!

I have been so disappointed with haircuts here in the U.S. compared to those I had in England. That is until I found Daniel after looking for a Vidal Salon inspired hairdresser. He really understands the "logic" of hair as very few do. He is kind, humble, gentle and an absolute genius: a real artist who really cares about his work. I will not tell you how long I have resided here but now feel incredibly lucky to have found a rare and outstanding professional He spent more than an hour on me and my hair really fell into place, precisely. Most other cuts do not. Please give him a try. I know you will be thrilled. Besides that, you enter the shop through a fringe of beautiful plants into....happiness. Ferntastic!

Beyond amazing!! Daniel is not only the most professional, approachable, and kindest stylist I've ever had, he's also the best at working with my hair. He takes the time to understand what you truly want, what your goals are, and how to make it happen. He's been doing my hair for 10+ years now, and I wouldn't trust anyone else to do it. Really, he's more of a sculptor than a hair stylist. Couldn't speak more highly of him - go check him out!

I have been getting haircuts from Dan for a few years and I am always extremely happy with the result. I have pretty thick hair and Dan helps to effectively thin it out and keep it manageable between cuts. Highly recommended!

I have very fine, thick hair. Which means a perfect haircut is essential for my hair to be manageable. Daniel has been great in guiding me to the right style so it looks good and doesn't take forever to style. And his highlights always come out looking so natural - people are surprised when I say it is colored.
