I really wish I can rate this place a "0". There are plenty of nail salons in Union NJ, DO NOT GO TO THIS ONE! I really wish I had read these reviews before going. I got my nails done by the owner "Alejandra" and she over cut my cuticles and made every finger bleed and than charged me extra! Never in my life have I experienced such a horrible experience at a nail salon. The owner has no business in doing nails, she clearly does not know what she's doing and I'm surprised this place is still open.
The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because there is normally a wait and even if you have an appt they take walk ins but I've been going to d Alejandra's for years and was surprised to see low reviews because I think they do a great job and I've been to many places. The women work really hard there and Alejandra has become like my second therapist, I love her! I've brought almost everyone in my family.
If I could give a 0 I would. I came from NY for a wedding & decided to get my nails done not only did she kept filling my skin over & over she did them shorter then I asked and it was $70 ??? Like you guys are scamming people.
The staff is friendly. The owner was away and everyone was welcoming. I went early and got a pedicure and a new set of acrylics. The pedicure was excellent and very thorough. The acrylic set took about 2 hours but was shaped mostly by hand instead of the drill. Which I love because my hands were not burnt by the machine and my cuticles were not tender. I was impressed with the whole operation. Clean chairs and floors. They do not take appointments which was my only issue but they took care of me and my nails are still strong 3 weeks in. I love them.
It was super busy! But Alejandra herself did my nails.. she was very nice. They do not to appointments, it is walk-in only.
