Many beauty salons experience peak traffic on weekends, especially on Saturday mornings and afternoons. Weekday evenings can also be particularly busy as clients tend to schedule post-work appointments. Booking in advance is always advised, but if you're seeking a less bustling environment, you can inquire with Cutting Edge Hair Etc. about their quieter hours.
Debbie was very attentive to my problem hair. I often go a year without getting a cut but I couldn't tolerate my hair anymore. She did a fantastic job. I will return in about 3 months for a trim.
I have been going to Cutting Edge Hair Etc off and on since 1985 (depending on where we were living ). Deb Saley has always been so very accommodating, and provided wonderful service! I have observed her with her customers, young and old and all ages in between. She does a great job with all of them! She will take care of all of your hair needs!
Major, major disappointment!!! Visiting my 87 year old mother who is home bound and took my elderly mother for a simple haircut. The owner who had over 30 years experience had difficulty getting my mother properly aligned in the chair. I was astounded when she said 45 dollars for a simple haircut that took 15 minutes. When I mentioned that the price was a little high, the owner arrogantly stated it would be 60 dollars in Madison.
This salon is the place to go to get away from it all. Cutting Edge's owner, Debbie, and her team will cheer you up no matter what type of a day you've had. The staff follows all the trends and can create any style you desire. Your entire family will get hooked on getting their hair done at Cutting Edge. Great product selection as well. You'll be sure to leave feeling amazing--and relaxed. What better combo could you ask for?
First, I will start with what was good, even excellent. The person who answered the phone when I made my appointment could not have been nicer. Very upbeat, sweet, and accommodating. I was able to make a same day appointment, which was very nice as well. My technician was polite, bubbly and sweet when she greeted me. The salon was very festively decorated for Halloween and the pedicure room was very comfortable. Now, the not so good... When I book a pedicure, I do it not only so my feet will look and feel good, I spend that hour completely checking out and relaxing. I put my phone away, close my eyes, and try to let the massage chair take me away to a relaxing zone that I don't often get in my busy life. From the moment I sat down, my young, sweet technician talked to me. Asking me lots of questions, making small talk. Being raised as a nice Midwesterner, I replied to her questions. I then took out my phone hoping it would indicate that I was distracted, but that didn't work. She chatted with me the entire time. She was quietest when she painted my nails and I used that time, and the ten minutes I sat in the chair afterwards, to try and relax a little. My appointment was a spa pedicure and per their website, this is an hour long service. As I went to check out, I noticed it was only 3:40. And ten minutes of that forty was me just sitting there letting my toes dry. My technician had given me the express service. When one of the two women at the desk rang me up, she asked if I had booked the express or spa. I told her I guessed it was the express. The other woman tersely told her and me, that it was, "booked as a spa pedicure". I so wish I would have said that I would be sitting my rear end back down then so I could get the full hour that I was paying for, but she did not give me a welcoming look, and I just wanted to leave. It was as if she thought I was trying to get a deal by the look on her face by only paying for the express. I paid for the spa pedicure, and left. While my feet feel fine, I was on edge the rest of the afternoon as I had been looking forward to checking out for that hour. I won't be going back.
