Crystal's Spa & Salon in Ithaca, NY

Crystal is wonderful! We had to play phone tag for an appointment and she was kind enough to keep calling me back until we could get in touch. When I arrived for an outdoor haircut, Crystal was prompt and thoughtful--she asked all of the right questions about styling. She is easy to talk to, an excellent stylist, and we had a nice conversation! I'm very pleased with my haircut. And, did I mention the whole thing happened outside! Whether you're concerned about covid or you just want to enjoy the blue skies, this is a great place to get your hair cut!

After living in Ithaca for 7 years and trying many different hair salons, I finally found Crystal! She knows exactly how to manage my frizzy and curly hair. She is also a master of cutting my toddlers hair while he is having a full blown meltdown. I visit Crystal every 4 months for a keratin treatment and a trim. The treatment she applies lasts longer than the usual treatments that I've had in the past. Not only is Crystal very skilled in her profession, she also has a great personality. She is funny and witty. You will be sure to have a great conversation with her.

Any appointment during a pandemic can be stressful, however view my photos to see the lengths Crystal has gone to provide a safe comfortable environment. You will not see another client as appointments are spaced to allow for cleaning. Aside from being diligent to Covid concerns, she is an experienced stylist. You will not be disappointed.

Crystal is amazing. For 10 years she has always made me feel and look my best, and saved me from myself in my never ending quest to straighten my naturally curly hair. I went in two weeks ago on Tuesday for a Keratin straightening treatment and moved to south Florida on Thursday. Went through airport security with 3 bags, 2 kids and a stroller alone, installed 2 car seats curbside at the airport. Sweat like crazy in high humidity and my hair did not curl or frizz. It was amazing. Even more amazing, I've been washing my hair and letting it air dry here and it's so soft and smooth. Its the hair I've always wanted! Thank you Crystal

Honestly I've never been to a better salon than Crystal's. I'm Asian and have coarse thick and very black hair but my stylist Jane got it to an amazing steel gray color that is to dye for. (haha) she even threw in a 50 dollar keratin treatment for free!! It took a bit of time but I finally got the color I wanted and service was fantastic. It took me a while to physically reach the salon being in the middle of nowhere but at the end of the day it was worth it!
