Cost Cutters in York, NE

went there because i couldn't get in where I wanted to go , but need a cut so finish my shopping and went in there was only one other customer in there , was told it would be about 15 min, OK no problem, when they said it was time the one cutting my hair she  was rude , acted like she didn't even want to be there, i told her how i wanted my hair, she cut it and even before asking me if it was OK , she was taken off the cape , I said i would like the top a little shorter , a big sigh then a OK put the cape back on cut a little more and then how is that , by that time i just said fine, by that time i was over the hair cut , if you have to be rude to people, or dont like your job then get a different one , and this is not the first time , i have heard from a co-worker that she took her 3 boys in to get there hair cut there and was treated very rude, my daughter will not ever take her boys there , they cant even do a simple hair cut with out screwing it up, this is to bad they have such terrible customers service , a lot of people weird scheld. so this place is convenient, but I will be waiting till I can get in to my other place , even if I have to leave work , I will never go to cost cutter ever again!!!!!!!

I went here last thursday to get highlights. i previously had a blonde to dark brown ombré. i asked precisely for ONLY my blonde to be highlighted then reblend the fade to brown. a girl named coco there was the one to do it, and mentioned beforehand she thought it'd be difficult but could do what i wanted. i repeated myself multiple times and said i ONLY wanted the blonde highlighted. she proceeded to bleach all of my hair, starting at the dark brown ends. i repeated myself again, and she said "it's fine it's fine". she piled on bleach for 2 hours. left my hair sitting and soaking for an hour and a half while she went in the back and played on her phone. she then bleached my roots to an extremely light yellow, then washed it out. she used a few pumps of purple shampoo but didn't even rinse it all out. she dried my hair, then toned it for 2 minutes and rinsed it. she dried my hair again, only putting a bit of heat protectant on it. she kept combing my hair harder than she should've, and i lost quite a bit of hair. i am very disappointed in both the treatment and the lack of listening to what customers want. my hair is now extremely light on top, and fades into an ugly orange on bottom. very disappointed!

Took my nephew to get a cut. For the second time. Showed the stylist a simple image and explained that he only wanted to shave sides and back and keep top long  (just like the image).... she butchered it and now he looks like he's enlisting. All of his hair on top is gone including his highlights that he specifically wanted to keep. She started the top without asking and was already hacking it off before I saw. He maintained his composure but once we were in the car he teared up and said "you said she wouldn't cut my blonde parts off"  thanks Darcy. Should have learned my lesson the first time we went and the stylists didn't listen.

Don't go here for cuts.... if your hair is important to you.

We stopped here for haircuts, and by the time that the kids and myself were done with our haircuts my wife was impressed enough with the quality she had her hair cut and highlighted. My haircut was simple, shave it off. Its kind of hard to screw that up. My wife was picky with the kids though, and the stylist was able to do everything my wife requested. She then spent the next two hours on my wife's hair, which ended up looking great. Normally this quality would be expected in a fancy salon, but not at a "chop shop" inside of Wal-Mart. The stylists here have an amazing talent, and are great at what they do.
