Cost Cutters in Elizabethtown, KY

This will be my last time coming to this place! The two stylists, Mickey and Allana, were not friendly, acted like they didn't want to be there, and this isn't the first time I have been there and both times, the same attitude. Mickey asked  me what I wanted done, and after telling her that I needed a hair cut, so she told me to sign in and that they had two people ahead of me, and that it would be about 45 minutes before someone would be able to cut my hair. Mickey said that there were only two stylists working, and she wasn't going to be there much longer, so she wouldn't be able to do it. I said okay, that I could wait and signed in. I comes back about 45 minutes later, both stylists were working on clients, so I sat down in the waiting area and patiently waited until Allana finishes with her client. He pays then she just stands there looking around out in the store, like she had nothing else to do, so I said " excuse me, I have been waiting here for awhile " and she replies, "really?", and then tells me that she needs to go see a guy, comes back a few minutes later, then stands at the register for a few more minutes, till a new customer comes in and wants a haircut,  signs him in and takes him ahead of me! So after he sits down, I got up and asked Mickey, who was supposed to be leaving earlier,  if she was going to cut my hair, she says no, she can't do it. I told them that I was done and was out of here!

I went to Cost Cutters for the first time today, Tuesday, 21 November 2023 at about 2:00 P.M. to get a haircut.  There was one woman on duty washing a young woman's hair.  I asked her if she was the only one serving customers and she replied there was someone else but he was on a "Telehealth" call and didn't know when he would return.  I had to wait about half an hour for her to finish up with the young woman.  She then asked for my name.  I responded that she didn't need to know my name because I just wanted a haircut.  She told me that I could not get a haircut without giving her my name.  I said no thank you, I will go somewhere else and I left.  I drove right across 31W to the Towne Mall to JC penny's Salon.  I walked in, was warmly greeted, received an immediate haircut and the cost was $12.00.  I gave the young woman a $20.00 tip because it is the Thanksgiving/Christmas season and I am a generous tipper.  I just wanted the lady at Cost Cutter's to know what she missed out on.  I would like to remind her that I am the elderly milItaly retiree who was wearing the gray Army sweatshirt and a green Army ball cap.  I am sure she will remember me.  I will be patronizing the JC Penny salon from now on and I encourage everyone else to give JC Penny salon a try.  Their prices are very reasonable and the staff is courteous, competent and professiona.

My husband came here to get a haircut at 3pm, he was the only person there and it still looks like his hair cut was rushed! It looks terrible, lines are crooked and uneven when I shouldn't be able to even see them! Being the person he is, he said thanks and paid anyways! But he will definitely not be coming back there! Now he has to go pay someone else to fix it!

Was a horrible experience. Staff were rude and very unprofessional. I will never go there again. I had to go to another salon to have my hair fixed. Contacted the owner with no reply.

We went in October 31 for a family hair cut. Belle did a wonderful job, especially with my 7yr old son Bradley! We will definitely be returning!
