Cloud 9 in Massena, NY

I have been a customer at Cloud 9 Salon for many years. The owner has always provided exceptional service. I was the "root touchup" customer interrupted by the previous reviewer. The owner was very professional with her, despite the fact that she arrived unannounced on a busy Saturday afternoon to ask for a wedding consult prior to her departure the following Monday. She left the salon and came back in twice more, interrupting my appointment. The owner was much more polite with the interruptions that I would have been! Lack of planning on the reviewer's part caused her problem, not the salon. Cloud 9 has the most current techniques, products and styles in the area. The owner is constantly traveling to shows to bring the best back to Massena!

I'm getting married in the area and went to this salon upon my friend's recommendation. When I walked into Cloud 9, the owner Christal was coloring a customer's roots. She booked me very quickly and abruptly. I left the salon feeling very uneasy that I was putting such an important event in the hands of someone who I had barely spoken to. I walked back into the shop and asked to see photos of her work. This is when she became extremely rude, telling me in a nasty tone that she had a customer and couldn't spend time talking to me. She did tell me to come for a consultation, but she didn't have availability before I left the area. I understand that this salon is a one-woman show and she had a customer, but she didn't offer to call me at a time more convenient to her or even act slightly sorry that a customer couldn't get more info from her. The best part is when I called yesterday to confirm the appointments I had booked with her two months earlier. She had canceled my appointments and claimed to have another wedding party that day. Again, no apologies, no attempt to rectify the situation. This was one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had and prompted me to write my first yelp review.
