CK Nail & Spa in Ventura, CA

It hurts my heart to write this, but I went to this establishment with my coworkers, and we were uncomfortable with the male employee. He was incredibly inappropriate and did a subpar job with my nails. He was rude, kept sighing and slapping my hands and feet, asking for my personal information, and touching/tickling my feet although I greatly detest excessive physical contact and mentioned that I do NOT like being tickled. I also had some cuts around my fingers due to his negligent service. I went another time and was assisted by a different female employee. She was not careful and ended up cutting my fingers around the nail. I would still recommend Amber but not the other employees and especially not the male employee. My coworkers were absolutely disgusting by his behavior and lack of professionalism. They felt extremely uncomfortable and almost wanted to say something to him about how his behavior was sexual harassment and predatory. This happened several months ago and we have not returned since.

I have been coming to CK Nail Salon for several years, and I am an easygoing and positive person. The last time I was at the salon, I was not feeling well. I quickly took my 4 tablets of prescription medication. I apologized to my nail girl, Chi, and she wouldn't look at me nor acknowledge the fact that I had just spoken to her. She was acting as if I didn't exist. I asked her several questions like I always do just to make small talk, again she wouldn't look at me nor respond to any of my questions. So my stomach was becoming more and more unsettled, and I told her I needed to use the restroom. She said, "No, you have to wait for me to do your other hand." I said I'm sorry my stomach is sick and I need to go now. When I came back from the restroom, she was very angry, and then she jabbed the stainless steel nail instrument into my nail, as she scolded me for not obeying her order!!! It was all so disturbing and unsettling. I found a new nail salon. Thank you, sue

I walked right in, no waiting. Nancy was great, really nice to talk to. Didn't cut me along the cuticles like I have had in other salons. Clean tools, brand new files. Nancy didn't rush to do my nails. I would go again if I was in the area, as I'm originally from Riverside.

Could be much better. The prices are higher than the other salons nearby. It's a great place for last minute nails, but after going twice I am not impressed. The services feel rushed. I wish they'd leave the hot towels on your legs (rather than just wipe off the lotion with them). The lady that did my pedicure didn't do much of a massage and seemed to rush through everything - even though the salon was dead. They have potential! Just need to spend more time on the clients, be more detail oriented and clean the salon up a bit. Not very relaxing.

I can't believe people actually come here ... The guy took forever to do my set and look what ended up with.
