Chloe Hair at THE SALON in Naperville, IL

At first I thought Chloe did a decent job, but after washing out my hair I see she did quite sloppy.. Hair on left side of head much shorter than right, completely uneven. Very noticeable now, a few weeks later. A cheap cut for sure, but you get what you pay for... I wish I just stayed home and let my wife cut it.

I went to Chloe per recommendation of my mother. She is awesome! This is by far the best haircut I have had in a long time. I have thick hair and I like a light bang as I'm a nurse and the last thing I want to do all day is touch my hair. She knew exactly what I was talking about and the results were perfect. I will def be back and highly recommend her to others.

Since I found her back in 2006, she became my official hairdresser.. as a matter of fact, I recommended her to all my friends and family, who all share the same appreciation and satisfaction as I do and have therefore been passed on thru word of mouth. Chloe is not only hardworking, but she is simply a natural!

Don't even think about it! The good reviews must be outdated. I came in while the staff were in the middle of a cut. This was no problem, but while I waited, the client was going back and forth with the stylists. I should have taken it as a warning when she left early without paying. My time came and I asked for a simple 2Block cut, but as the stylist started cutting, she informed me that my hair was too short, but at this point it was too late for me to say something. I asked if I should just go but they said to stay. After the stylist put down her clipper and I saw what was left of my hair, I bursted into tears. TL;DR: Sought out a 2Block cut, but I left with carpet hair.

I came in for a haircut with my appointment. I waited maybe 5-10 minutes until I was taken in. The (mexican) lady shampoo and conditioned my hair. She was nice and tried to small talk with me. But I didn't feel her massage the shampoo into my scalp like I'm used to. She sat me on the styling chair and started brushing out my hair. Chloe, the owner, was cutting another customer's hair at this time. Then Chloe switched over to me while the other lady started blow drying and cleaning up the other customer. Chloe asked what I wanted and I said I wanted 2 inches off and with more layers so that my hair was lighter and could be more voluminous. She showed me how much 2 inches was and I agreed. She just started choppppppping away! She was super fast and this caused me to be super tense b/c I can tell she's experienced but when people go that fast, it makes you worry they're not being careful. Then a mom and two girls walked in and asked if they had time for two trims. They said yes. I grew concerned, as I felt Chloe felt more rushed to get me done so she could move on to the other 2 girls. Chloe started talking to me and she was very nice too. However, I was just squeezing my hands nervously underneath the cape, as I saw multiple 5-6 inch pieces of hair fall to the ground. I think she forgot about the 2 inches and just focused on making my hair lighter with a ton of layers, because that is what the end result was. My hair is super light and has a ton of layers. I actually didn't like it when I left the salon- I thought it looked terrible. But I found out if I put my hair behind my ears, It looks pretty good right now. She blow dried it so that all of the layers curl inwards and it looks nice right now. My concern is that I usually just let my hair air dry. If my hair is long, it air dries nice and straight. If it is medium with short layers, it dries really weird and wavy/messy. So we will see how it looks tomorrow... But anyway, as a summary: Chloe and other lady are very nice It appears that Chloe might be the only one that cuts hair and the other lady just washes and blow dries... at least based on the 45 minutes I was there for. Chloe cuts ridiculously fast and it is quite nerve wrecking, not to say she does a bad job or anything, it's just kind of intense. She's kind of rough, hitting your ear with the comb numerous times, flipping your wet, heavy hair onto your face while chopping furiously. It was $35 + tip. Typical for Asian haircut in Chicagoland area.
