I called the salon on my way into town. I had been driving all day from Texas. I had a dinner to go to at 6:30. I was 30 minutes from the salon. I asked if they could work me in for a dip refill and pedicure at the same time. I asked twice and was told yes both times. I wanted the same color red dip for my nails and I needed them shorter.
I showed up and things looked normal. I picked out my colors and could see that they could not do my nails and my toes at the same time and that I would choose one service because I had somewhere to be for dinner.
The manager assured me that she could do both at the same time. They sat me down at a table for nails and started filling the surface of my nails.
At this time, they started asking me where I got my nails done before. The man and woman went back and forth telling each other how bad it was and they couldn't give me a refill. They had to remove my previous nails (see pics).
They had already started removing the surface of my nails so I was stuck. Either have nasty half done nails for a few days until I can make it back or surrender to how they do it. At this point they started wrapping my fingers in foil to soak them in acetone
I have very thin nails and skin. Acetone burns me very easily. I get refills because my nails are so thin that multiple filings on the nail bed surface are painful for me for weeks to come. I told them this. They refused to listen. They did what they wanted anyway.
Then they moved me to a pedicure chair. They didn't even move my purse with me and sat another client next to my Coach leather purse and did not give my bag to me. (See pic) Even after assuring me that my nails and feet would be done at the same time, no one came back for my nails during my pedicure. My fingers started burning so bad that I had to rip the foil off my fingers and submerge them in the pedicure water to rinse them off. The staff did not care.
I then listened as they overcharged another client who was there. They charged her for a full set when she got a full set that week and paid and then wanted to charge her more for her artwork.
The manager argued with the woman and even laughed at her. Then the woman got mad and threatened no tip. Then the manager decided not to overcharge her.
Everyone working was busy and committed to clients. Another woman walked in asking for services and they told her that they could do it and for her to sit down to wait. They ignored her for over half an hour making upsells with current clients. When the lady stood up to say she would come back, the manager argued with her for at least 5 minutes... loudly.
Speaking of upsells, the lady performing my pedicure offered to wax my eyebrows. I was ok with that until no one came to do my nails and burned my fingers. But time had become an issue.and I could not go to dinner with these nails. (See pics)
My pedicurist promised she would fix my nails. After she finished my toes she insisted that I still get my eyebrows waxed before she helped me with my nails. We went back and forth like 5 times before I just let her do it and I asked to do my chin too. Both my eyebrows and my chin have stray hairs still. Do not get waxed here.
So she now fixes my nails. She files the surface of my nails off, which I asked not to do. So typing or grabbing things are now super painful to my nail beds. Then I asked for a top coat. She argued with me for shellac. Still not what I want but I am short on time, super screwed, an need to be professional looking.
I said fine let's do clear. She did a weird pink color and left my nails long.
She then tells me that my partially done nails are $25, my hairy brows were $17, my hairy chin was $10, and my toes that I liked was $40... $87 plus the cash tip of $15... they request cash tip and do not accept Amex
I gave my debit card and they charged $870.00
I had to correct it with them.
If you want to be treated, like a Wallet, and not a person, consistently lied to, not given what you ask for, not heard when you say, something is bad for you, disregarded for your personal belongings and money, promised to be taken care of whenever there's no one to take care of you, overcharged, And poor work, then this is the place for you.
By the way, I was late to dinner and all of this took an hour and a half... plenty of time to do the job right. I should've never even been charged for these nails.
this place is dirty and the girls are sooooooo loud. you cannot relax here. WONG does the best pedicures but do not bother making an appt they never ever get it right! the women need to learn to be quiet during people relaxing! the one with the king fake lashes is just loud an obnoxious!
I like this salon because it is very clean and the staff are friendly. I do not appreciate that I have made appointments and had to wait up to 1/2 hour to be serviced. If makes me wonder why they take appointments if they do not have the staff to take you on time.
Just kinda gross inside, there seems to only be one real nail tach who is trying to teach a couple of guys while she does your nails
I've honestly never had a bad nail experience until today... I wanted a dip color change and it took an hour and 20 mins. I've never even had a manicure take over an hour. I was sitting there in tears as I missed two appts that I had... which I let my lady know as I thought it would only take 45mins like ALL the other places I've ever gone too. Also my nails didn't even look good, which just added on to my horrible experience. I was at least hoping they would look good after sitting there for over an hour. I won't be coming back to this place.
There's no denying that balayage is having a moment. This modern hair coloring technique has taken the beauty world by storm, and it's easy to see why. Balayage is a French word meaning "to sweep" or "to paint", and that's exactly what the colorist does.
