Barber Shop FAQs

  • How do I choose a barber?

Choosing a barber often comes down to personal preference. Consider factors such as location, customer reviews, barber's experience, and the ambiance of the barbershop. Word of mouth is powerful, so ask friends or colleagues for recommendations. It's also beneficial to observe the work of the barber on other clients or check their portfolio, if available.

  • What is the average price of a buzz cut in Phoenix?

Prices for a buzz cut can vary based on the city, the prestige of the barbershop, and the barber's experience. On average, in many U.S. cities, a buzz cut might range from $15 to $50. For specific pricing in Phoenix, it's advised to check with local barbershops or browse their service menus.

  • What is the average price of a shave in Phoenix?

In Phoenix, a shave could range from $20 to $60. The cost of a shave can differ based on various factors including the comprehensiveness of the service (e.g., straight razor vs. traditional shave). As always, for the most accurate figures, refer to specific barbershop menus or inquire directly.

  • What's the most popular service available at barbers in Phoenix today?

Classic haircuts, beard trims, and straight razor shaves are traditionally the most sought after services at barbershops. For the latest trends in Phoenix, it's best to consult with local barbers or look for regional industry insights.

Regret coming here 100 percent . This ain't the place if you want good looking hair. mine was a simple haircut 4 on top with med fade and a line up. NOTHING WAS GOOD ABOUT MY HAIR went home only to see that he fucked up my hair bad left ALOT of long hairs like if he didn't cut it on top. I literally had to go back to him so he can cut the top again. By the way my hair still didn't look good. I had to buy a hat for the party I went to

Came here on New Year's Day because they were the only place nearby that was open. I have very straight hair and dude cut me up perfect. I got my sideburns pointed and a lot of times barbers push my sideburn back too far but they came out of point. Only reason I gave 4 stars was because it was a bit pricey.

I had a Horrible Experience last Friday with whomever dude was working the shop on 05/29/2020 around 9:40 AM MST. Didn't even have the door unlocked for customers until I had to knock and peek through the window, this dude was forsure high, and when I asked to get my haircut, said he "couldn't do anything" because he did not have a hair-tye in the whole shop. Clown. Do Not Come Here, definition of stereotype lazy-unhelpful don't want to work "employee". Response to Champz Facebook message I received on 06/03/2020

One thing I can't stand is when you try to support your local BLACK business & they are so unprofessional with their 1st-time (& in this case 1st AND last-time) customers. I used a popular barber/salon booking app, booked an appt. here for 3:00PM (for the first time), & the barber ("Darryl") confirmed it. I had him favorited for weeks & liked his portfolio, so I was excited to finally get in his chair. Haven't been to the barber in MONTHS & had an engagement the next day, so obviously it was pretty important. The app said my time slot was from 3:00PM-3:25PM, but I got there at 2:55PM so i'm early. I walk in, one other barber is there cutting a client, the other chair has a client sitting in it but no barber. Eventually the barber drags back in close to 3:00PM & it's the barber I booked with. I'm the ONLY PERSON waiting in the shop, so any idiot could put 2 & 2 together & figure out that i'm probably your new client. Regardless, he says nothing to me, & I could have made a scene like "HEY BRO I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT"/etc. but I shouldn't have to remind a grown man that i'm his 3:00PM appointment, so I quietly wait it out as to not distract/disturb... Barbers are known for being chatty/etc (especially in black barbershops), so I expect some of that. But the two barbers just chatted away, watchin bball highlights, acting as if they had all the time in the world & no clients sitting there waiting for a cut. Next thing I know, I look at my watch, it's 3:25PM & i'm still not in the chair. That means I not only waited past the scheduled START time of my appointment, but I also waited past the scheduled END time of my appointment & was STILL waiting (& at that rate, I would have been waiting for another hour or so with the way they were just chattin it up). All the while, dude is focusing more on chatting than cutting the client who is ALREADY in the chair... At this point, I could see where this was going, so I got on the app, cancelled the booked appointment & walked right out. I can work with you gettin me in the chair 10-15 minutes past my scheduled appointment time (&/or you taking a bit longer to cut my hair once i'm actually in the chair & have nobody waiting after me), but if someone has the audacity to allow NEW clients to book appointments with them on an app but then can't manage to get them in the chair within 15-20 mins of their scheduled appt. start time (MAX), then that person shouldn't be booking appointments period (because they're clearly not at that skill level yet [as far as TIME-MANAGEMENT], BOOKING is useless at that point, they're wasting peoples time & it's DISRESPECTFUL to the client who [in MOST cases] A. is busy, B. has other things to do & C. BOOKED AN APPOINTMENT for that very reason). If I had time to sit there waiting around for an extra 25+ minutes PAST my scheduled appointment start time (while y'all just chat away without a care in the world, as if i'm not even sitting there waiting), then I wouldn't have booked an APPOINTMENT to begin with & could have just walked into any old random barbershop unannounced like the good old days. For God sake, learn how to be PROFESSIONAL. This is exactly how you LOSE clients, & I believe in OVER-tipping, so I certainly was gonna make sure the guy was taken care of (even though he was already charging $25 dollars a cut). He would've been VERY happy, but that did it for me. When someone wastes my time the VERY FIRST TIME I attempt to do business with them, i'm not gonna give them a second opportunity to do the same thing, so needless to say I won't be back nor will I refer anyone else here (MANY friends are moving here from other parts of the country as we speak). It's unfortunate in this case, because this place is soo close to home, but I honestly don't mind driving a bit further if I know i'm dealing with someone professional who treats new clients the way they should be treated. BOTTOM LINE; If you don't mind having your time wasted & sitting around waiting far beyond your scheduled appt. time, then you should be fine here. Otherwise, LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!
