CARMEN! CARMEN! Prestige Salon Spa at Belk in Asheville, NC

I had a problem with a "stylist" because she did not cut my hair the way I wanted, which was a simple stacked Bob,the Mgr decided the massages & pedi's are no longer available to me because I complained. This salon has had all their stylists & mgr leave,now with all new staff....makes you wonder, WHO else has complained. maybe an email to Corporate.

No customer service. I think the hair dressers at this salon think they are better than they are.  My last appointment with Brittney went poorly she did not make arrangements to complete what my appointment was scheduled for. Cut and Color. Unapologetic and without even asking me-- she had one of the managers cut my hair and she did a horrible job. I just don't think this store gets it.. I thought maybe she had just a bad day and even attempted to make another appointment. The receptionist was again less than helpful. I am done doing business with Belk Salon they need to stick to clothing.  Save your money--there are more reliable, and friendly places to go in Asheville that actually keep appointments and allow enough time to honor appointments.  Just because these hair dressers are trained thru Aveda does not make them any better. I assume this is the reason there is only 1 review here.. The Explanations in the name!!! say it all... RUDE, RUDE!!

I have visited Carmen Carmen for 7+ years for hair services (cuts and color), and once for a mani/pedi package. The mani/pedi visit was nothing short of amazing. Because of that experience, I always recommend this Aveda location for nail services. The nail tech at this location is nothing short of amazing, and obviously well sought after, because booking an appointment can be pushed out a bit. Just a friendly FYI to not expect an immediate appointment.

In all of my hair appointment visits, over many years, I've probably seen a handful of hair stylists. This says a lot, as stylist turnover here isn't high. Out of all those haircut visits, I've been less than ecstatic with only one haircut. Again, that really says something because I've easily been here dozens of times for services.

Scheduling by phone has always been attentive, pleasant and handled with the highest professionalism. Stylists and front desk employees are always accommodating and knowledgeable about the products they carry.

Parking is never an issue, outside of the Christmas season, because... Asheville Mall.
