It was ok. The nail tech was nice. They don't offer waxing besides eyebrow- and the pedi/mani choices were limited. I ordered a dip and she used standard polish and a gel solar overlay.... also, I called ahead to ask if they had Apple Pay and they said yes. They don't. The connection kept failing and I ultimately had to pay someone via Venmo.
Nobody in the building spoke english well enough to communicate. After I asked a question about their services, they talked about me in Vietnamese and laughed at me too.
I was here for a trip. I wouldn't recommend this place. Go somewhere else.
I've been going to Capital Nail Bar every 3 weeks for a year+. A number of folks have done my dip manicures during this time, and they always do a great job, have lots of color selections and options, and are friendly. It's a big space with lots of people working, and in the time I've been going I've only had to wait once. The prices are really reasonable, especially compared to nearby salons. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a go-to place with lots of selections and availability, and a guaranteed good manicure that you'll receive lots of compliments on!
I made an appointment for 11 am on Sunday. Got there on time. Sat for with no one talking to me or helping. I was wearing dip so would have been very easy to start the soak.
I left after 25 minutes of waiting and won't be going back.
Horrible nail salon. They don't use proper techniques when applying gel polish so expect your nails to break in half & peel from bottom after 4 days. After 5 days from when I got my nails done, 3/10 nails cracked & broke off (real nails btw) & now after day 10, 6/10 of my nails have broken. The 7th just got a crack in it today so I expect that to break by the weekend. Looking for a new nail salon as we speak. The staff is extremely impersonal & quite rude & can be unprofessional at times.
I've been to a few nail salons since moving to Nashville and none of them were that great, until I came to Capital Nail Bar! I have been twice now and have been getting Dip on my natural nails. I had the same guy both times and he does a great job. My friend came with me last time and the lady that did her nails did a great job too, besides being a bit sassy to her for accidentally moving a few times. Pricing is decent. My friend got dip and added fake tips to her nails to make them longer which didn't affect the price at all. The only thing I wish they did was cleaning under the nails after the dip process and even some more cuticle care beforehand. I also have never gotten a massage when going here which is not a total necessity but definitely a favorite part of any manicure. Overall I would recommend and will be back time and time again!!
