Candy Nails in Dothan, AL

0 stars. I am not one to leave reviews good or bad but after my horrible experience today I had to leave one to warn others. The owners are mean and disgusting. I have never been treated so horribly by a business. I kept telling the husband I wasn't happy with my nails and how bad they looked and he was so aggressive like how dare I question his work. His work was terrible. I am not one to complain or speak up but I couldn't help it today. I finally left without my nails being finished because I was seriously scared of them.
Beware of this establishment!!!!

I have been going there for about a year.  I do not like change.  However, I will not return.  I always made an appointment.  They were always late arriving for my appointments.  Andy would leave and go get breakfast and then return.  So my nails always soaked for a long time.  The last time I went I arrive a few minutes early for my appointment to find Andy was doing a person.  I was told I needed to come back.  I told them I had an appointment and could not come back.  His wife, Candy became very angry and was raging in her language to her husband about me, it was very obvious!  She said I could stay finally.  I should have left but I needed them done and had no other time.  I do not think the solution to soak my nails in was new or clean.  I now have a severe fungus under my nail and it is lifting and is very painful.  The lady he was doing when I arrived had a severe issue with all her nails lifting due to her job.  I think he put my hands in the same solution and that is why I have this problem now.  I also have a fungus on another nail but it is not serious.  I have never had any kind of fungus before.  I have never been treated so rudely or disrespectfully.  I do not think they are interested in repeat loyal customers that tip well.  I have recommended them to people in the past but never again.  Not sure how they remain open.  I am not normally a person that would give a negative review but I felt this horrific experience required one.

Worst place ever and I been living in this area for about 6 months now ...I been going to this salon for about two months I tried be patient and polite with them numerous times...I am not hard to please cause I just get simpl nails and I always tip them,but I dont know why cause there service is really bad...At first when I first started coming I would just walk in then the lady name candy would tell me I need to set appointment...So I started setting my appointments this last pass week I called her for an appointment she took my appointmen.And when I arrive she told me sorry you have make an appointment..I then said I did make an  appointment ,Just spoke with you  this morning then she  say sorry I can't do your nails im busy.I then said what was the reason making an appointmen...Honestly this worst experience of my life I'm very pissed off and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.This type of place shouldn't be open to public if you going treat people like this

The owners were not very professional. My nails looked horrible.  If they would put in as much effort in their services instead of worrying about whether they are sexy, they might actually be a decent salon.

I hate to be this person but I would give zero stars if I could.
My friend and I went for a dip manicure and pedicure- we had appointments at 2 and it took TWO hours just to do the half ass dip nail. I specifically asked to get a manicure because my cuticles needed TLC ,after explaining that to Andy (husband of the owner) he told me "yeah I will shave them" literally all he did was shave them. Never filed, shaped or trimmed my nails. Slapped two coats of dip powder on them and called it a day. I've never had a more terrible experience at a salon in my life.  We left before they could do our pedicures because we had already been there for two hours and definitely were not going to pay for whatever disaster would be our pedicure.

I really don't know how this place is still in business. Steer clear.
