I've just recently moved here from California less than a year ago and I went to CA Nails on two occasions for two special occasions. The first time was for my son's wedding and the second time was my birthday celebration. Each time I visited I got the same male that has the worst attitude. When I tried to tell him how I would like for my nails, he told me that he knows what he is doing and I should not tell him how to do my nails. I told him it's because I want specific nails shaped and he told me don't worry he will do what I want however, I was never able to tell him what I wanted. Then when he finished they looked big and bulky. I will never return there because he was so rude and angry with me but not because of the poor nail job that maybe he could not do any better, it's because he doesn't listen to your needs and does what he wants with a poor attitude. Also when I picked a color he tried to give me another shade similar and I asked him does he have the shade I am asking for and he said yes, so I had to say to him "well, do you think I can have the one that I'm asking for?" I wanted a pedicure but I thought maybe my money earned should be spent somewhere less hostile. I'm sorry but a nail salon/spa should be a relaxing and pampering experience. I found myself pampering him to calm him down. Never again!
Wish I would have looked at the Yelp rating before I went... First off the nails look like I painted them at home basically. Paid $75 for a dipping powder manicure and regular pedicure... So I thought. $40 for dipping powder on my nails and no manicuring the cuticles... For that much $ they can at least do the rest of the regular manicure. $5 more for cuticles?? Never paid this kind of money for such little service. Even in downtown Charlotte I pay $55 for a really good quality nail dip manicure.. I would have been fine with that but the whole attitude seemed underhanded.. and my nails looked like trash. I hate leaving negative reviews but I am warning you just like I wish I was warned! Try somewhere else..
So far said 15 min and I've waited 45 min. I'm leaving. Good luck. So many nail salons in the area at least be honest when you have a long wait.
I arrived here soon after they opened for a spa day with my granddaughter. The nail technician who performed our manicures was very patient and professional. I received a gel color that she said would not chip for two weeks. I kid you not, but it was chipping after a few hours and I had only washed my hands. I am writing this after 5 days and there has been no other chipping of the rest of my nails. She also soaked off my SNL set and waxed my brows. I would return again if in the area. The salon was nice and clean, bright and fairly busy while I was there.
The absolute worse pedicure ever!! The man didn't even clip my cuticles around my toes then he didn't even want to polish my pinky toe he said "you don't have enough nail" I only went there because they were open late. My daughter and I are so disappointed. This place needs a true lesson in pedicures and customer service perhaps 501 Nails could give them a lesson. I have never left a nail salon so unhappy. Closes this place for training!!
