Bronzed Image in Freeport, IL

My boyfriend bought me an unlimited 1 month package, just as the Caronavirus outbreak was getting really bad and it was discovered that there were 2 covid-19 cases in Winnabago County which is very close to Freeport. All restaraunts, bars, churches and any groups or gatherings of more then 10 gathered were halted. Schools were being closed indefinitely, etc. I had only went to two, 6 minute sessions as that is the rule for newer spring tanners. Because of the virus, I didn't feel safe tanning in beds where others had layed, most likely naked and sweaty, and there are young teenaged girls that worked there, that I noticed, were only spraying the beds 3 times, with already diluted cleanser. We called to ask to speak to the manager, but she was gone. She called us the next day and we told her our concerns in a respectful way, asking for a refund. She was rude and immediately refused to reimburse our over $100.00, even in light of the pandemic and all the closures. I was shocked by her lack of empathy to her customers, her pocket book seemed to be more important that kind and compassionate humane decency. I will be sure to tell everyone I know not to go there, because she does not care for her customers. We used 12 minutes in total of the package, at least she could have reimbursed us some prorated. In light of this experience and all the other craziness going on right now, my belief that there are still good peoper in the world is fleeting. An unhappy ex customer, Sonia in Freeport, Illinois

I would absolutely not recommend Bronzed Image to anyone!!!!! I have never had such poor customer service from a owner! I began the call I-rate because I had to call four separate times over a month to even get a conversation with her. During that conversation she mocked me saying "oh your so perfect". Talked over me when I was explaining my complaint. The one thing we did agree on was that her employees were in the wrong. Not telling me the details and giving me false information about their policy here. I needed to cancel my account after moving 5 hours away. I was expected to drive the distance for a "2 minute" process. Their policy is that you have to sign a form to cancel your account. I was told on my SECOND phone call trying to reach the manager that I could do it over the phone if I talked to a manager. Which she did and does have the capability of doing after repeating herself telling me I have to come in to cancel. She also told me that I should have ended my account before I moved. Let me state that I did go in to cancel my account and I was told that I could let my contract time run out. I never received a email or phone call asking me to continue my service. I was under the impression that I would not be charged by month past my contact and I was charged an additional 4 months. 1 of those months was because the manager would not return my calls. Her employees told me that they could leave messages for her. They took down my name and phone number on multiple occasions. I was never contacted. The phone conversation ended with THE OWNER putting me on mute. Now does that sound like somewhere you want to go for a service? I sincerely hope not! STAY AWAY! This was a horrible drawn out experience with Bronzed Image and I am ready to be done with this place! I tanned at the Freeport location for only a few months and they have horrible reviews on Google!
