Blue Lotus Nail Spa in Shelton, CT

I wouldn't give any stars, but I have to put one.
The absolute worst spa pedicure I ever had
$75.00 and it was done in ten minutes.
The tech was mean and down right rude.
The gel manicure was also a joke....painted my nails
for $40.00... no cream, no cuticle oil.  They are chipping, lumpy and poorly polished....
THE WORST EVER.... THE WORST EVER....THE WORST EVER...
I called the next day to complain, they told be to come back
I told her I couldn't  make it back for a couple of weeks
so she wanted pics of my feet!!!

Requested a powder manicure.  Was there on Monday evening last customer.  The tech Sarah started 2 nails when she realized she was doing it incorrectly.  Started over.  The nails were all bumpy.  I told her she said no problem so she buffed and buffed away. At the end my ring finger is dull no shine as the others. Another tech has to step in to correct.  Now it's Wednesday & I wake up with 3 chipped nails!!!!!  I have done powder gel for many years never have they chipped. However my first time at blue lotus.  Definitely my last.  Also did an expensive pedicure and yes big toes were smudged with the wax they use.  The only concern from staff was giving you their tip envelope.  NEVER AGAIN.  Went this morning to repair the nails.  The manager wasn't warm or welcoming. Stated I had to wait 15 mins for someone. Soon after a tech Maria approaches me to repair the nails.  Not once spoke only until the event tell me to start the drying machine again once it's done.  What an experience.  Meanwhile the manager never apologized, nor concerned about an unhappy customer.  Place is nice but customer service is not up to par.

I have been coming to Blue Lotus for 2 years and have always had a professional, friendly and satisfied with the service. This is a very clean, spacious and accommodating establishment.

Amazing service every time - the spa is typically busy but you never have a long wait.

Manicure stations are spread out and separate from the pedicure spas. When getting a pedicure there is only 3 spas to one area - not one after another. The leg massage is in a separate darkened area which is totally relaxing and recommended.

Although more expensive than other salons in the surrounding towns, it's definitely worth it.

**Also follow cosmetology board regulations by not using the cheese grater/ razor on the callous, one time use file and buffer and cleaned tools.

This place is criminally underrated, trust me, I've been to dozens of spots. First of all they have all these little nooks and crannies where the stations are set up so you have somewhat of a private experience for your service. Rather than being in a big room overhearing loud conversations, there are satellite stations set up. I love their spa pedicure, they take the time to really shape your nails and buff your feet. There are a ton of colors to select from and they don't rush you at all. At the end there is a massage room with reclining chairs. It's the most relaxing, spa-like service.
