After trying and trying to like my cuts from the Blue Dot, I've realized the place isn't for me. Maybe it was just my stylist (not Chrissy or Ames), but she never seemed to get what I was going for--even when I brought in pictures. Oh well. At least hair grows out!
What can I say about The Blue Dot Salon...it's the only salon for me. If I ever move, I'll need to come back every 8 or 9 weeks to get my hair done. Ames has been my hairdresser for more than a decade. She is equal parts hairdresser, magician and shrink. She keeps her technical skills sharp by staying on top of the latest developments in cut and color techniques, products and trends. It's a casual, comfortable salon that showcases the work of local artists. Make an appointment, you won't regret it.
I really wanted to like this place, but they are very judgmental. If you appear to be a"shy" or "quiet" person you will be labeled as such. What happened to going into a place and just getting a hair cut? Now you are labeled. The stylist did an awesome job. That's the reason why I am giving the 3 stars, but I won't be going back...
Chrissy rocks. Always gets the perfect color in my wife's hair. Does a pretty damn good job on my hair too.
