Paisley & Stripe West in Lawrence, KS

I moved from 20 years in Dallas and hadn't seen a stylist in a while so my hair was a hot mess. A dear friend referred me to Paisley and Stripe so I called and talked with Chloe, who listened kindly to all my hair woes and matched me with Erin. I met Erin at the end of June (hadn't had a professional haircut or color in over a year). She listened to what I wanted, looked at my hair type, asked questions and set to work. Fresh base color, gorgeous highlights, lovely glazing, versatile cut and style that made me feel like a million bucks...I walked out a new woman! Later I looked in the mirror and though "wow...there's that girl!" I absolutely love this salon. It's clean, relaxing and well managed. Being from Dallas, I've had the the opportunity to go to a number of upscale salons. Believe me...they've got nothing over Paisley and Stripe! I just returned from my second appointment with Erin. It was the exact same experience. She is great at evaluating what I need, communicating every step of the process, and I love my hair. It's the best cut and color I have EVER HAD! I imagine I'm not the only one, but I go to a salon to get my hair done AND relax. The environment lets me kick back and enjoy a good drink and chat with Erin and Chloe. Being new to town and looking for a new salon is daunting. I'm so glad I found Erin at Paisley and Stripe!

The atmosphere of the salon was great, very homey with lots of plants and great staff. On the other hand the service provided was good, the outcome was ok though. I talked with my stylist about what I wanted and we went over a couple different photos and then started on my hair. At the end it looked pretty good but when I got home my "money pieces" were brassy. Then I looked at my email receipt and noticed a 60$ charge for the haircut... I asked for a small trim and a little bit of face framing which took less than 5 minutes. I saw the price before going in and thought maybe since they were already styling, washing, my hair from the highlights that they might no charge the full amount, especially with such a minuscule cut. I was very wrong. I would not recommend adding a cut to your color appointment unless you're making a big chop.

I have always been someone who had the same hair cut from great clips for years. Today... I met Kiersten. SHE CHANGED MY LIFE And more importantly MY HAIRS LIFE!!
I never write reviews and I wanted to make sure everyone who is looking for a stylist knows about her. Not only is she kind and professional. She was more than happy to answer all of my questions, give recommendations, and just made me feel so comfortable. Kiersten revived my hair without making me feel bad about letting it go so long without maintenance. I feel more confident! Thank you, Paisley and Stripe for connecting me with Kiersten. I have found my hair home!

Had an amazing hair cut with Aaliyah today. However, when I saw my receipt, there was an up charge for $15 due to length and thickness of hair. Yes I have thick hair and yes I understand the extra charge, however, notifying the client before hand would be much appreciated.

AWFUL Awful customer service! Very rude and inappropriate STAFF and OWNER! UNBELIEVABLE!

I was super unhappy with my hair result, and I told EMMA (stylist) right after she blow-dried my hair. I didn't get what I asked/paid for. I paid +$200 and it looked like I used a dark box dye all over my hair. Instead of trying to talk to me friendly, EMMA told me I could wash my hair and go under the sun to see the baby lights she did! Because she darkened my hair too much and didn't get enough pieces of hair to blond.  

Their coordinator lied to me that if I was not happy I could come back in a week, and they would fix it. But just a LIE! They refused to fix it and changed their words.  Instead of fixing the problem, the staff and the owner insulted me that the hair color I wanted was out of my budget (I paid +$200), and they were an expensive salon and probably not for me!!!  The owner said she would support her staff because she trained them and she got offended by my complaint!! WOW!  

She said it was my misunderstanding and miscommunication. I paid $230 and I was offended. Just a WARNING, if you have self-respect, DO NOT GO THERE! I'm super unhappy with my hair and I have to see it every day!!!
