MJ's grill is that hidden gem you've been searching for all year. The location is really convenient and it's in a historic area on the adjacent corner to Floyd's Barbershop. In my opinion, the ambiance, the Feng Shui, the vibe... however you'd like to put it... captures the heart beat of the city of Los Angeles and somehow fits it all in a toasted bun seasoned to perfection. My friend and I went for dinner last night and the service was outstanding. I ordered the Smash Burger with waffle fries, and my friend got the Gobbler Burger and a side of mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were some of the best I ever had. The burgers were aromatic and bursts of hearty flavor. I really like how they grill them sideways to switch up the grill lines. I've never seen anywhere do that before. This place caters to the upscale customer, yet at the same time has options for others balling on a budget. The create your own burger option will probably break the bank next time I go here because from some of the photos I have seen, I'll probably get a bit creative next time I come through. The owners MJ and Adam Drexler have done a great job with this place. I'm proud to say that this is one of my favorite spots. I will be here a lot more often, anytime I am in the area. Everyone come check this place out. If you're in quarantine mode don't fret, they'll make you quality burgers and send them to your door. I dubbed it "officially bomb". "That's all I got to say about that." FG
Honestly they were OK but paying $15 for a burger with no fries and ok taste was just beyond me. We ordered 3 burgers and 3 drinks and it was $70. I know it's LA but this was a small little restaurant. Just ridiculous in my opinion and probably will never be back!
I've been coming to mjs grill since they reopened after COVID. They have the best burgers (beef and chicken). I've had almost everything on the menu, from the hanger steak to their vegan options like buffalo cauliflower "wings." I also love the regular buffalo and BBQ wings. They're cooked over a wood burning grill so they have extra flavor. 10/10 recommend
The food is terrific. I'm only knocking it for the prices. I just wouldn't go back here because it's way too expensive for what you get. I paid $25 for a small burger and fries.
