DONT GO HERE!!! What's the point of going to a licensed stylist if they have no idea what they're doing. It's really annoying that this chick had to ask someone else how to do a color correction she needed step by step like didn't you go to school? I was sitting there for 30 minutes while she had no idea what to do. Very fidgety didn't know how to comb wavy thick hair. Had to ask how to mix bleach up when the girl told her not to do that. Didn't k ow how to out a foil on a comb. Very uneasy I would never let someone like that to even touch my hair. Then she decided instead of trying to get the dark blue out she would start at the bottom where it's already light, then this other girl comes by and tells her not to do that. I'm sorry but no I don't have 12 hours for you to figure it out when I could do a better job. She already put lightener on a strand and they both had the audacity to ask if I wanted it rinsed like no duh. I don't want to walk around with this in my hair. Alex seriously asked if I wanted to shampoo like no I want to leave. Alex should consider a different career. I will never be back I can do a better job than this what a joke. I'll be getting my hair fixed by someone who actually knows how to do hair.
UPDATE- the piece that she bleached and didn't rinse all the way out has broken off so thank you I now have a short piece in the back of my head. SMH

Staff was very rude. They checked on everyone in the store except me and gave me weird stares. Then the girl checking me out  got very passive aggressive and pushy when I didn't want to sign up for rewards. After saying no multiple times she rolled her eyes and asked the lady behind me to come give her phone number to use my points. Store was barely stocked. Very unprofessional.

GO TO THE CORNER STAR ULTA NOT THIS ONE. Ulta has been doing my hair for years now and I recently switched Ultas because I wanted to try a new hairstylist. I have mixed hair so not everyone can do my hair but I was sure to ask which hair stylist was capable of doing my hair before I booked my appointment. The stylist that did my hair did a decent job but she did not take off all my dead ends which I asked her to and she did not straighten my hair correctly. My hair was extremely puffy especially at the ends and became very frizzy soon after I left the salon. This has never happened to me before. I was not mad at the stylist at all I just wanted to hair done correctly. I called the salon manager  (Alyssa) and she was nothing but rude and short. She never apologized! She said earliest I can get in was Wednesday. I politely asked her is there any way some one can just take off my dead ends and re-flat iron my hair today ( this should only take 25mins max since my hair is "pre flat ironed" She rudely said no. I wish I would have read the comments before since she apparently has had multiple problems in the past. I paid $105 for my hair to be not done correctly! They typically do an amazing job! I'm so upset and now I have to pay another stylist at a different Ulta salon to fix my hair I'll never leave the Ulta at corner star again they are always so kind and do my hair correctly the first time. I am seeking to get my money back and so I can pay for the Ulta In corner star to fix my hair .Do not go to the Southlands Ulta!!

On Monday, January 27th I had a scheduled hair appointment (I won't name the sylist b/c she was super sweet) at the Southlands store in Aurora, CO. I planned on going from dark brown to honey blonde hair, as I have done in the past around 4 times and have had no issues.  This time, I had grown out my natural hair and was looking forward to having some color in my hair for the first time. I have also just given birth to my first child 7 weeks ago and was looking for a new style and new confidence for this new mama after having a difficult pregnancy and birth.
I went in with several pictures of what I was looking for. I even showed her a picture of my hair from 2 years ago when I was blonde saying I wanted a similar color. We agreed on honey blonde highlights.
When she got done after 4 hours she showed me my hair and I was shocked. She had colored it GRAY. I was too shocked to say anything. I went home and my husband and mom confirmed it was gray. The next morning I called the salon and spoke with salon manager, Alyssa. She was skeptical when I told her the color didn't turn out the way I wanted and that it was GRAY. She did not offer an apology or any empathy. She said it was a tone problem because my hair was very dark. She made it sound like it was my fault. I bit my tongue and was polite and asked if someone could fix it and she scheduled me for the same stylist for the next day.
I went in and the stylist agreed it was white/grey. She put toner on it and it came out gray again! She tried for a 3rd time and agreed it was still gray (with a little blonde on top). 2 hours later, She said she couldn't fix it right now because my hair wasn't taking color anymore. She scheduled me for an appt A WEEK later to fix it.
When I went inthe first time, it should have been completed the way the customer wanted it. I trusted a professional stylist to get my hair the way I wanted it.
I called the manager Alyssa again the day after. She was very rude and stated she would not give me a full refund because her Stylist had gotten my hair "in the realm" of what I wanted! How rude. My hair is nowhere near where I wanted it and is still gray. We don't spend $300 to get our hair "in the realm" of where we want it. I was getting my hair ready for a big super bowl party this Sunday where all of my work friends that I haven't seen since giving birth will be. I am too embarrassed to go to the party.

I came in for a consultation to dye my hair blond. I was planning to do it myself and multiple employees surrounded me and laughed when I told them that. Yeah it's dangerous doing it myself but with my thick and healthy hair I did it successfully. They wanted me to make an appointment with the hair salon to do it for me for $300...let's just say they're rude af. I felt so uncomfortable in the store.
