Bei Capelli Salon in Lexington, KY

I cannot write a strong enough review for Anne Farrell Mudd. I, too, was part of the bridal party (see a few other reviews) where Anne saved the day for the bride, Aaron. Everyone in the bridal party had stunning hair, and she did such an amazing job. Not only is she talented at her skill, but she is just a sweet person altogether. Though I live in Chicago, if you live around Lexington, you're lucky to have Anne as an option to you!

Anne is AH-mazing with hair! She literally saved my friend's wedding day by swooping in and undoing a complete mess of a hairdo in literally 30 minutes. She knew exactly what would look good on my friend and what she wanted.  Anne also worked with each of us bridesmaids and had a sweet, friendly manner.  You could tell she really listened as well as understood what would look best for your head shape. You may see several reviews from the same bridal party and it's for good reason: Anne impressed every last one of us! And for a bridal party of 7, that's a feat.

This salon is hard to write a review for, since all the stylists and hairdressers keep their own books. Which means anyone who goes here should have a person in mind when they make their appointment.

I personally go to see Jane every time I am back in Lexington. I have a hard time trusting people with my hair, and I've struggled to find a hairdresser I trust who delivers consistent results. But, I think Jane's my girl. She really understands hair and how different textures and cuts will make my hair look, and I even trusted her to cut and style my hair before my friend's wedding, in which I was a a bridesmaid. She is efficient, professional, and very VERY prompt. DO NOT arrive more than ten minutes for an appointment with her, ever. She will get cross with you (justifiably so). And, the one time I didn't like the cut she gave me, I called her back a week after and she scheduled me another appointment right away, and fixed it up for me the way I wanted (I think the first time was just a fluke and partly due to the fact I was late to my appointment and she was pressed for time).

The salon itself is small and clean, pretty standard salon decor and setup. The location is behind the mall in the Stone Wall Shopping Center, which is probably convenient 95% of the year, but during the holidays (when I chose to get my last haircut) the mall becomes a huge obstacle due to traffic. So, during that time of year make sure you plan to skirt around that ridiculous Nicholasville Road mess.

The salon takes credit cards. But Jane only takes cash, so be ready for that.
